@@OutboundIntent I take it back, I forgot I do have body mount chop mod done. Thats it. King 2.5 Remote Resivoir Shocks front and rear and Camburg upper A arms.
285' Hercules TerraTrac with a 3" Toytec / Rough Country setup. Fender flair delete and stock Toyota wheels with no spacers. Going on 60k with this setup with no issues.
285/75/17 (roughly 34) on stock suspension no rubbing. Only took an aggressive BMC I knocked out with my harbor freight grinder and welder in about 2 hours and some hammering on the pinch weld. All and all took about 4 hours totally worth it!
Looking good. I went to the 17 inch OEM steel rims and 33s. No issues, but I think if you have any backspacing that is off and depending on the specific brand tire or so AT vs MT you could rub some. I've been luck..
Luv my 2013...Ive got Bilstein 5100 and B12 Springs Which gave me 2" lift in the front sand 1" in the rear. Ive never rubbed on 33" tires, even off road. I have 17" wheels 285/70/17 now but I'm going back to 16" on 285/75/16'.
Honestly, the difference hasn't been much... maybe a slight increase in body roll around corners but that is about it. Offset is about 0mm and the OD of the wheels is 11.5" (ID is 10.5")
Nice ride man. With the suspension, do you a have a smooth ride? It's not a Range Rover I know that but how does it feel? And another thing regarding the tires, do you feel like you lose speed when accelerating in comparison with the stock tires previously?
After the new shocks this thing rides pretty smooth, the tires definitely affect take-off speed (if you want to call it that) but since it is only 33s, it isn't that bad compared to stock size.
I'm running 35s with a 3 inch front lift and stock rear and a fender delete. I really should have done 37s. I've got tons of room. 33s are pretty much stock.
50 seconds in, and you put your wheel on incorrectly. Always star pattern your lug nuts when mounting your wheels or else you can improperly distribute torque along the hub mounting surface. Over time it will sheer off your wheel studs and leave you without a wheel and tire on the road.
Thanks for the suggestion, what you saw in that small clip was my final round. I do a star pattern thread on, then star pattern tighten, and then a circle pattern check.
My previous FJ had 33's stock hieght no rubbing no problems. My current FJ has 35's and 3" lift no rub at all....
Your rig is lookin great brother!
Whatttttt that is crazy, did you have to trim much with the 35's? I find that so weird that some fjs will rub and others won't.

@@OutboundIntentdepends on the years heard that the ones starting from 2010 were design to put up to 35s inch
Without a regear your transmission will be fooked

I am running 33 inch Cooper STT PRO’s on TRD Sema wheels with 1.25 spidertrax spacers on a 3 inch lift. Works great.
Just checked out your rig, it looks so sick!
@@OutboundIntent thanks 🙂
Dude, good video but you are fail to tell us the most important thing... What's the size of your wheels and tyres :) ..!!

34s with 3in lift, SPC UCA, some trimming and a good alignment.
Dope set up!
What suspension are you running? Looks like 6112 up front! Any idea on springs/etc
I have the 6112s in the front (completely rebuild my struts) with 5100s in the rear. Love this lift and have had no issues going on a year with it
You didn’t talk about how it drives, any significant difference? Or negligible? What’s the offset and how wide are your wheels?
Honestly, the difference hasn't been much... maybe a slight increase in body roll around corners but that is about it. Offset is about 0mm and the OD of the wheels is 11.5" (ID is 10.5")
32"s on my 2006 4Runner
What did you set the psi to on both front and rear?
i love that bumper
It is the Smittybilt M1, works great so far
How much did that wrap cost? It looks awesome
That is a stock Toyota color called Quicksand
@@OutboundIntent oh wow I didn’t know they had quicksand back then, I knew the trd pro tundras 4Runner and tacomas have it
Yeah! It’s an awesome color for sure, just a little harder to find
I did a 3" Rough Country lift on my 08 FJ and looking at 33" Mickey Thompson Baja's for the tires. I'm doing pizza cutters though.
Heck yeah that will look awesome 👊
Does pizza cutter mean thinner like a 265 vs a 285

Hello
Are those archaic headlights ?
hi what is the size of these rims ?
What offset did you go with?
33s are the 285/70 right?
Correct 👊
Yes but also 305/70-16
What headlights are those?
How much you got them spaced out?
I'm running 315/70 on mine and the wheels have a -12 offset and I'm running 1.5" spacers lol. I prefer the beefier and wider look too
Heck yeah! Beefier always looks better if it's not overdone.
33's are easier than 35's.~15yr FJ owner
Definitely true ^

Yeah I have been debating about getting 35s with the current set up
