"So time is yet now. Right here to go." "Time is yet now" can be interpreted as a reminder to focus on the present moment and make the most of it. "Right here to go" can be interpreted as an encouragement to seize the moment and take action towards a goal or destination.
I agree - this is what I was going to say ... or at least very similar to it. Basically, considering that it was written during Covid when everyone was unsure about who, what, where, when, and why; nothing was certain. Time - make the most of it because of the uncertainty of when things would get back to "normal"; right here in this moment; to go - right now; again, because we never know who, what, where, when, and why. If you take this into consideration with the whole song, life/love is uncertain so love who you love now and be present in your relationships; live and love with purpose and determination. Just my lil ole opinion. 💜
Thanks for talking about the chorus lyrics. No other reactor has and I'm sure we are all trying to decipher them. But the vocals, the vocals both IU & Yoongi. And the way they sound together...
I'm loving this song as I knew Iu's voice fits perfectly with Yoongis rapping and also IU is my all time fav female soloist so I'm just happy these two collabed again, also the MV is so beautiful and I also love the lyrics aswell
Yes!. Finally someone said what I was thinking. I didn't understand IU' s chorus as well. I thought i perhaps was because english is not my first language. So I tried to translate it from English to my language and got even more confused. And, Yes! I was so surprised that he started the song by telling us that he didn't felt he was loved enough as a child. Very honest and heartbreaking - now I just want to give him and his fluffy yellow sweater a big hug.😢
Amazing song Yoongi killed it. His lyrics are meaningful and his singing 💯. Video is just gorgeous. IUs voice and tone is amazing. I think time is Yet could be (not yet done etc) or is Yet is a very nuanced pen-dutch wording meaning still, so I have no idea she knew that. But the lyrics for her verse seems like gibberish lyrics that were never re-written.
The you know I know is a Jimin and suga quote from sugas birthday on their thousandth day anniversary from debut. When the duo performed Tony Montana it was on the screen behind them.
please stream guys. I feel his streams are pretty slow considering when this MV dropped. This Suga bias wants this man to get the recognition he deserves for his hard work. he's so deserving of ARMY"S love
@@BrookeMorrison Unlike English, some languages use double negative (Spanish, Russian, etc.) wonder if it is the case for Korean language and they just translated it word for word. So "nobody doesn't know" could just mean "nobody knows"
You might have done some digging since you recorded this, but there are some great threads breaking down the chorus by English teachers and college poetry professors on Twitter. I won’t be anywhere near as eloquent, but they’ve spoken about the ambiguity of the word ‘time’ and how it is used in the chorus to show how time moved during lockdown.
IU & Suga take this and a few more songs with Sugas vocals, their harmonies and band arrangements to another level. It’s worth a listen on IU’s Palette UA-cam Program But yeah, English chorus was a fail. That kind of stuff should not slip through.
I definitely think IU’s lyrics were probably written beautifully in Korean and then translated verbatim (word for word) from Korean to English and the wrong word choices were made from the various translations available for each word!!
I have a hard time believing that they didn't run the English lyrics past someone more fluent, so i'm going to assume that what IU is saying is what was meant to be said. "Nobody doesn't know anymore" is a double negative, so we DO know...seize the day I think is the gist.
I think the Iu's chorus part and Yoongi's verse in english are written intentionally in akward english, so no one would catch the real meaning what he wanted to say...
Double negative phrases are common in Korean 😂 여기 아무도 없다 = Nobody isn't here. 아직 아무도 안 왔다 = Nobody didn't come yet... And there's a famous phrase from "The wall..." of Pink Floyd, which is "We don't need no education..."🧐
“I know you know anything does know” The first part could mean either ‘I know (that) you know’ or ‘I know, you know’ as in ‘You know and I know’. But “anything does know” is still unclear to me. In Korean, forms of 하다 [to do] are placed after nouns to form verbs such as saranghae (사랑해). Perhaps “does know” could mean ‘know/s’ or ‘understand/s’. Since Korean often leaves off the subject, could it be: ‘I know, you know, we both know’? But why does it have the word ‘anything’?
To me it's I know, you know too , anything know (even inhumane things). For the does part, from what I know you can say something like "I do know" in English and it's used to emphasize the verb. So the final meaning would be: I know it, you know it, anything knows (humans and not humans, even object)
You are only reactor so far to call out the chorus English translation… makes no sense and I love both the artists… but somebody should be checking behind this…

The more I listen, the more I love it. So simple yet so deep. He is so gorgeous too. IU's voice is amazing in the song. Fits perfectly. 💜😊👌

RM and Suga I feel like deal with so mentally that whatever they are feeling in the moment they express themselves with their lyrics and Music

For me “Nobody doesn’t know anymore” means ‘everyone knows now.’
Ah! I almost thought it was “nobody knows anymore”

A great song in every single thing ❤

“Nobody doesn’t know anymore” Perhaps that might be: No one knows anymore.
0:50 It's like having Thanksgiving on Christmas in April. Nice! 😂👍
P.S. You really look great with glasses.
“So time is yet now right here to go”
Perhaps this would be a better English translation: So the time to leave is already here, right now.

I agree with about not getting the English in the chorus .
지금은 아냐
여기서 떠나선 안 돼
나도 알고 너도 알고
세상이 다 알아
지금은 아냐
여기서 떠나선 안 돼
하지만 이제 누가 알까
넌 저 멀리 떠나버렸어
점점 더 멀리
너무 멀리 넌 가버렸어
난 왜 진작 몰랐을까
I thought I was the only one who didn't understood the chourus 'cause I'm latina 😅😅😅😅
I get what you mean, I am able to follow Yoongi's lyrics but the chorus fragments, I am a little lost. I am not sure what that means. Anyone know?

The chorus was a little confusing to me too! I love her voice though.
