Just looking at these graphic card prices a year later and holy shit the powercolor 6600 listed for $650 is now $200 on Amazon that’s insane

I remember 1650s going for 300-400 and I was got one in a prebuilt for 500-600 total. I wanted to build but the prices were insane. I should've gotten all the prebuilts they had and resold them .

@@nuimec2061 I've been building computers for years, those Aresgames are really good power supplies lol. 600W for a 6600 it's 250W extra that you don't need. He could had gone with any 450 or 500 and save 20-25$ easily.
You save $$ with not buying RGB stuff. You save a bit a $$ by go dark.
Shaving off the PSU when you could've gotten cheaper RAM without RGB? Although I suppose the PSU of choice wasn't as bad as it could've been. Saving on a case could be done because there are airflow cases that are cheaper and without the unnecessary bling.
They could have gon 1650 or 1660 and they wouldn’t really have to shave off

@@imjuswatching3983 I suppose it does make sense for going for best performance for money with possible upgradability for the future. But at that point, I'd honestly just get some simple second hand case. Plenty of those lying around dirt-cheap. Just put all the money in the performance and reliability, forget about RGB and fancy cases until you have spare money.
Neither of the builds were really great. Both could've spent more on CPU and GPU and said F* the looks. Especially when they both just clicked on the first stuff they seen instead of actually looking for deals.

They don't mention that in their ads, but I've gotten Amazon prices at my local best buy. Amazon just has to have it in stock for BB to match the price.
Pretty equal overall, I like the more stealth look of the 6600xt build but the 6600 model would be better on say a stream for ascetics, so you can't go wrong either build both get an A
More like an f+ for useing an 10th gen i3 in an $1,000 build 😦 the ryzen 5600 g would have been the better cpu over the i3

2 very nice systems, the 6600 system definitely looks better, but i think the 6600xt would better in most games which will be gpu limited (you even said the SotTR benchmark is very cpu limited). Lesson for the day is to pick the best deals across reputable suppliers rather than sticking to a single supplier.

2 years later, seeing a RX 6600 for $600 is shocking, I paid that for a RX 6900 XT.
Even today, July 2024, either one of these systems would be excellent for someone getting into PC gaming, or those looking for an all around system for a variety of applications.
For 750 UK Quid both of these computers are pretty good.

10:53 the 6600xt is better than the 3060 not just close, infact game dependent it can beat the 3060ti. its basically a 2070 super performance wise.

Hey guy's, i have a idea for a video you two can do. How about you to build your own computer. One with RBG and the the other with no RBG. Less see the cost different and the performance in each one with the cost of going each way. Try to pick the same size case for the pc and the same ram size. And the same amount of fans in each pc. Let see what would be better deal and better to big during these hard times.
Hello the future here you can get a 6600XT now for about $350, that really brings the price of these builds down and makes for a great 1080p setup

Tbh the big mistake was spending 60% of the budget on an graphics card the most important things should be the motherboard and the cpu like an i7 12700k with the right motherboard and an RTX 2060 would have been fine
you should do a full gaming test between them both, warzone, fortnite, and apex. would be good to see how far they different they are in game for game and not benchmark. performance changes on the play field

Try and get the 12th gen if you can afford it, even if you have to save a little more it has much better performance for only about 20 dollars more

For me the Asus board and better PSU are worth the investment as the gaming performance difference between the 6600 vs the XT, while measurable, isn't a deal breaker. The higher quality PSU makes a GPU and CPU upgrade hassle free in the future. Personally I could care less about RGB but that Asus board wins an aesthetics as well and when using RGB memory having the fan and front RGB on the case does bring it together. In today's market for a grand both builds are solid though. Nice job guys!
