A case actually getting tossed because of a miranda violation is about as common as a motion for change of venue being granted. While it exists in theory, the likelihood you're ever actually going to see one is about the same as your odds of winning the lottery.
This is a shame... In most states, being a plumber takes 576 hours (72 - 8 hour days) of classroom/lab work at a state-recognized trade school, plus 4/5 years as an apprentice. But only 3 to 6 months in the police academy (a joke) to be a cop, yet they give them a badge, a gun, and qualified immunity. So how does this make any sense?
Not just in the profession, but promoted to supervisory postions to poison the rest of their department. I can only assume that they do this shit on a regular basis and keep the cages full and the revenue rolling in. That's why they get awarded and promoted.

Police Departments definitely need to require an annual evaluation for officers to confirm that they have continued competency and understanding on every law that they need to be aware of. Those records should also be made accessible to third party auditors and, if necessary, the public.
And the police wonder why no one respects them and citizens want police departments defunded. Defund the departments and use that money to educate them.
