We had a 40x25x20 ft “ditch”. Would fill it up when all the Harvestores were full. Of course it was corn silage, but same principle. Sure beats packing into drums.

Good morning Bro. Micah. Yeah barrel silage “rocks”. Awesome feed supplement. As you may remember, following your lead, I made 9 barrels of ladino clover silage last May/early June. But I didn’t add the minerals 🤦🏽‍♂️. Well I have one half a barrel left, and needless to say I’m rather sad. But it will be time to make more before you know it. Pigs and goats love it. I can see noticed improvement in the gut health of my pigs and especially my goats. Rest assured I will be doubling up on the barrel silage making sure to add the minerals 🤦🏽‍♂️ . Boy I tell you. 😂😂😂

Turned out awesome! Nothing better than free food that you harvested yourself. I have to admit as hard workers as you guys are I don't think you're going to be able to chip enough wood for those pig pins lol . Your going to need semi loads every day non stop for that lol. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Trapper David sure is seemingly very busy of late Micah! Good to see a bit of seed stock growing up there too. Your grass fork, that must be special ordered from sone short handled dealer? While the grasses and brushy plants are awakening, your pigs have some prime eating from last season's harvest of barrel grass! No wonder your pigs squabble like that over your patented McGie formula Barrel Grass! Seeing your pigs so well fed is a fine startup to a Great Day! -Bob...

@@McGieHomesteadAdventures You dont receive any nutritional benefits from skipping out on those early morning feedings though Micah, skipping that finely prepared barrel feed! Look how much good it does your Sausages and Bacons!! Maybe I shoud find a really tiny font to use when I mention premature Sausages and Bacons. Dont want you know who getting all riled up this early in the day!!

@@McGieHomesteadAdventures All of us envy your lifestyle; there is no greater need than food; yall are as good as anyone at raising your own food; if this was the 1770's we know you'd be firing on the British redcoats; thankfully, hogs, chickens, turkeys, deers and beeves don't fire back! If cancer is ever an issue, artemisinin kills it FAST! Growths are full of iron mineral; when artemisinin enters, it "explodes" with free radical damage; ordinary cells NOT affected; lactoferrin from cows the ONLY thing equal to artemisinin. Read up on these, why give the medical community 90% of your life's savings?? Have you seen improvement on their weight, and overall health! How do they do in the hot weather? When I was a kid we would raise a couple of pigs every year, mainly on slop, and whatever we could get to feed them, and then nothing but corn for the last month before killing.

    • @McGieHomesteadAdventures
