It’s not terrible but it’s definitely got seriously obvious faults that could be fixed
I played this for a joke, I couldn’t tell if I was enjoying myself or it was just funny that I was actually playing Volta. I am now in div 2🐐
I tried playing with a random teammate and he ended up scoring an own goal at the last second and losing us the game. That was my last placement game and I got div 5. I love people 😃

I still think this game mode has potential, having grown up with the first FIFA Street - but man if EA dont continue to make utterly baffling decisions when it comes to this game mode.
It's the regular gameplay but just 3v3 or 5v5 on a small pitch. It needed to be more arcadey and focused on skills like the first ever FIFA street was. Bring back pressing triangle for a random skill and game breakers which you earn by doing skills.

In FIFA Street we had so many skills combinations and in FIFA Street 4 we had advanced ball controll, which was amazing

They should do a mode like in NBA2K my player it's the journey mixed with Volta and little bit open world where you can walk around the park and shit
The point is this has potential but is fucking ass at the moment, this needs to be said is just fucking bad.
Especially if you played Fifa Street 4 or 2014 there's just no point is basically fifa 5v5 and they are showing it and showing skills that aren't in actual mid game, menu is lazy, replay is lazy, celebrations are lazy, this is such a waste of money from ea and time for us that play it; is actually so sad
U can do skills by holding down L1, and can do flicks by clicking the right stick. It makes volta 10x more fun
They really didn’t think this through with random clothing there’s no colour scheme for who’s on who’s team I was running round think are you on my team or just being sus 🤣😭

ive played 30+ games with my mate and we only encounterd this very little just know ur own players.. it really isnt that hard, i can only see it being hard once both teams have the same clothes on, but there is very little chance that will happen

Gotta go into settings and turn on the Volta one it shows you who is on your team makes it much easier

Tbh I’ve acctually enjoyed Volta this year
I had FIFA STREET on the 360 and it was the same. Problem with an online street football game is that everyone doesn't play to have fun they play to win. Skills are not better than passing so everyone just sweats it out. Its a shame but this community doesn't play to have fun. The thing VOLTA fails at is the cpu as well. The old fifa Street cpu tried to skill you up so it wasn't so sweaty however on VOLTA the cpu plays boring and sweats every goal so offline is dead also.
Just based on the progression of things I anticipate fifa 2022 to be incredible well made. They’ll fix the bugs of all these features

me and my mate have played alot of volta its quite fun, the only dont like is that there is no other game mode like 2v2 or skill goals based matches
That was the problem with the last Fifa Street they came out with as well, but the controls were much better imo. Ppl were super sweaty but there were still mechanics to break sweaty defenses. Now, AI knows and does all. FIFA has centered the game around the newer, less experienced players and has left the skill out the window.

If a person wants to play possession football in Volta THEY CAN! Most do in real life Futsal … which is technically what you are playing…U don’t get to division one by dribbling the whole team especially when ur in a squad….. it’s a perfect balance of both me and the boys record when we play and we max do 5-6 skills a game because its situational… only when the team sucks and we know we can have fun do we pull out the skills…. Or once we’re winning by three…please let’s not start normalizing HAVING to skill move all game! Good video good complaints they did make this mode so difficult in terms of accessibility ! Cheers

Played volta about 4 days ago with the lads but there's a glitch where you can't find a game, says that it is unable to set up a match

Is there any way to have a guest play on volta this year? (2 players on the same console) I can’t seem to find the option

This mode has a lot of potential, but the flaws outweigh it: the mechanics are terrible, feels very scripted (it’s very frustrating when you nail their goalie 10 times with good shots and somehow you get scored on with a shit shot), AI awareness is terrible at best (also when you’re playing against 3 actual players it’s a nail in the coffin), and so many more things. I play it because I love the customization and “freedom” but other than that, I hope FIFA 22’s Volta address some these issues.

Volta is nothing compared to FIFA Street, gameplay wise and will never be as good as FIFA Street. Volta is solid for few games, but its very monotonous, because of the very few special skills u can do. In FIFA Street I had endlessly fun, trying out and perfecting the skills, also in FIFA Street 4 we had advanced ball controll which u could combine with different skills.
In Volta it is just spamming the 6 special skills with the right stick.
There was also coop in FIFA Street, and was amazing.
I would prefer them taking out their effort for Volta and using it for a FIFA Street game or for Clubs.
