Two completely different styles, both equally awesome drummers. Both open enough to listen and learn. Mike will learn this from Todd, then pass it along to others in his videos,,,,,others who may never appreciate Todd otherwise. The circle of learning moves forward. I don't understand some of the negitive comments here. Obviously the haters have no idea what is really happening .
We drummers should always be willing learn from each other. I teach my students to always have an open mind. I’m a teacher and I am a lifelong student of the instrument. We should always be sharing our love for the art of drumming.
@Steven Pounsett Thomas is another not human, the world is full of not humans ( Gavin ? Bill Bruf ? ......etc ) but we're talking about Todd here, or not ?
so i would say this is what happens when drummers meet 😁 no matter how good you are there will be always a conversation and things you can learn from each other
Mike's work on "Hungry Eyes" is a superb lesson on how Hard Rock should be played. A great recording from a great drummer. Todd is a great drummer too!
And that's why they are where they are, even though they have already gained the 'Legend' status, even amongst their peers, they know you never stop learning
@@rick3747 I'm as big a fan of Steve Smith as you'll ever meet. Dude is an absolutely brilliant drummer, to be sure. But Todd is simply on another level.
See, this is what happens, When you have an open mind and when you leave the egos at the door! Great video!
Thank you verry verry much!!
