- It was a great day to get out metal detecting with my buddy Dave. It was his first time out with the Coiltek 10x5 coil for his Nox 800. I was telling him for over a year to get that coil and he finally did. I don't think he regrets it. I was using the Manticore with the 11" stock coil. Enjoy the video.

The coiltek 10x5 is a fantastic coil. I have been using it since it was first released both on my 800 and now on my 900. Its the only coil I use
I have one coming this week for my Nox 800. I hope its better than the one I had for my CTX 3030 - was sparky as hell and couldnt use it with higher sensitivities.
Can you use yours on the Nox at higher sensitivities? Like 23? Or does it become unstable?
I don't recall having any issues running the sensitivity up unless you have some EMI around.

In my opinion my Nox 800 out does my Manticore every time when hunting for coins.If your hunting for junk the Manticore is the way to go.

There is nothing magical or special about coiltek coils. They tend to fail. Simple as that! Manticore hands down

I got it over at backwoodsmetaldetectors.com/ you can reach out to the guy to see if he can still get them made. If he still makes them have him curve the tip slightly. They work great.
