I have the Klein 11055 wire strippers, had them for year's. They do what I want when I want, every time. When they eventually die I'll get another pair. The one's your testing look like they'll be dependable for you too
Capri 20010 has a depth set. It is nice when the inspector wants just that much sticking out of the crimp, no more, no less. If you look at Amazon you have to scroll down to see the depth stop.
I have a pair of catapults. The action on them is very nice, arguably more robust feeling than my ideal stripmaster. However, I highly doubt Klein came up with the design. The catapult is a made in Taiwan tool. There are other versions of the tool without the wire cutter under other brand names like Capri, also made in Taiwan. Those who don't want the wire cutter feature may be able to save a few bucks if other branded versions are priced cheaper.
Klein model# K1412 are also excellent. So much easier to have a tool that cleanly and precisely cuts the entire outer jacket on 12/2 and 10/2 wire with one squeeze
Bottle opener nuch of my victorinox fieldmaster would do a better job 😆🤔 all joking aside those are awesome I'm going to order them they do a fantastic job 👌thanks for sharing this with us 👍
Have you ever tried a pair of Ideal Strippers? Are the dies replaceable? (it looks like they will accept Ideal Dies) Are the feet replaceable? But I will say I like the cutter option on the Kleins.
Is there a way to make these grip on wires covered in paint? I'm an apprentice residential electrician and installing outlets (for example) in freshly painted new homes, the strippers slip (no surprise I'll suppose?) when you try to strip the sheath off. New homes have lots of over-spray covering wires.
i can second this, works great for larger gauges, have you tried the knipex precisnips that are for thin gauge wire ? they’re much better for smaller wires
@@robertlanz3717 they were brand new. I returned them and got a different pair of the exact same thing and they work fine. First one must have been a defect.

I have them too. Love to use it. Almost as fun as crimping a terminal.
I am not an electrician either but I have them and think they are great. Really slick.
The cuts these make are beautiful!
Great demo!

I came here to see these demonstrated after home depot had a sale on klein tools. Home Depot says they are also crimpers. Is that the case?

is there a way to adjust them? Cuts deep in that the conductors would show or it would just cut one of the wires along with it

Probably not. Just use regular strippers. The Klein K1412 are excellent
Are these worth buying still? I’m asking because I see Klein no longer have the extra blades in production.
No. Buy something else.
The best. Non-automatics cause nicks.
👍
Dosn't strip 22 AWG Stranded Wire.
