In this video, we look at the structure and function of centrioles, cilia and flagella. First we look at centrioles and their roles in eukaryotic cells including the assembly of spindle fibres during cell division. We then look at the role of centrioles in cilia and flagella.
This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications. Students studying International A Level Biology will need to check their specification.

This guy deserves an MBE or an OBE or something
You were the angel that came and saved me in my darkest times. I knew nothing about chemistry before the GCSE's and you helped me actually grasp all the sciences when it came time to do the exams. Now that they are over I just wanna say I appreciate you and I am pretty confident that a lot of other people are man, so 🥂cheers to you, you marvelous man! :D
Even though this isn’t related to the video I’d like to thank you load for your chemistry videos for GSCE your videos help me and made the paper seem easy thanks you again I can’t thank you enough God bless you
Someone tell me why this man hasn't got a Nobel prize yet 🤔
Thank you so much for your GCSE videos, you've helped a lot of people myself included.
hello sir, sorry you must get this question a lot but will you ever consider making videos on a level physics?
Thanks Sir. I used your videos at GCSE and got a 9 in biology so hopefully you can get me through to getting an A* in A-levels now :D
Thanks for the comment. The best advice I can give you is to watch all of the videos in the topics that you are doing now. Generally, in Biology you'll be doing two topics at the same time (often starting with Cell Structure and Biological Molecules). I'd recommend watching those videos in advance of the lessons. It will help you understand the material. A level Biology contains VASTLY more content than GCSE Biology so be prepared for that. However, it's a very interesting subject.
@@Freesciencelessons thanks for the tips Sir. I agree there is a lot of content. I started college early in August so I’m preparing for my first test tomorrow, and I’m all set thanks to your cell structure playlist 👌
Hello sir, thanks for doing these videos, been a real help.
thank u very much sir i did my last gcse science exam they were all good thanks to you 👍 sad to not be able to watch u next year for physics but its ok thank you very much :)
Thank you
No problem and thank you for the comment.
Sir. You’re the best
The GOAT
will you do a level physics one day?
When do u expect to finish all of alevel bio and Chem?
hello, will you end up doing physics a level videos for aqa?
can i ask who composed your intro and outro? its iconic
It's by the Jingle Punks and it's called Morning Walk.
@@Freesciencelessons What about your other intro that you used to use?
Sir when are you going to start doing chemistry again?
Very soon. I'm just prepping a set of Biology videos on Biodiversity and Evolution and then I'll be onto A2 Chemistry.
hi sir, will you do a level physics videos?
SAY HI TO ME AS WELL.
Hi.
SAY HI TO ME
Hi
