Wow, absolutely loved watching this!!!! To see my town, then and now. Its brilliant. You've done a great job!!! Thank you so much for this. One of the best videos I've ever seen on Shrewsbury Town. Thank you so much!!!!!
Must say Mr Steve our town looked splendid in the winter sun, great footage and a great advert for tourism....we are very lucky living here. So beautiful and I'm very passionate about the place....well done sir. ,😃Andy the Sprinter man!!!!
Hey Andy the sprinter man, yeh it’s a beautiful town. The thing that spoils it for me now is all the for sale, to let and massive signs stuck to buildings in the town. When I’m mayor thats gunna be banned, no signs and only one business sign over the door, would make such a difference to the look of the town. Cheers for watching
Definitely Nev, such a beautiful town. I just wish we had kept the 60’s and 70’s councils more restrictive in their crazy decisions to ripp stuff down. They really tried to wipe it out with their vision of beauty back then. Appreciate your comments brother
Thanks No1, it will probably take a long time to be discovered and appreciated by the right audience on the old youtube channel but it’s my attempt at nostalgia for the locals and people interested in the history of Shrewsbury. Appreciate you buddy 👍🏻
The time and effort you put into this video Steve wow I think your best to date ! Much appreciated sir so cool to see the before and after ! And music as well mind 🤯
Cheers Bill, history holds an important place for me, it’s a shame we don’t appreciate our heritage until we are older but this is my contribution for locals to view, cheers for watching
Nicely put together Steve. I would really like to visit there someday. But if I never get to visit at least I saw how nice it is there after watching this video. Great video brother!!!
My dad used to manage the granada social club, and I used to work at mcfisheries on pride hill, really miss the place, having only occasionally been back since the store closed and I transferred to wallsall, now in lincoln with family commitments so can't really move back
That’s a great story Philip, I hope the video gave you some good memories, my heart is in Shrewsbury, it could have been so much nicer too had they not demolished many of the great buildings including the old market hall, thanks for commenting 👍🏻
@@STTC Hello Steve, Yes I am going to make a few stealth camping videos and join in on the fun. I have another channel called The Little Ranch but that is more to document my progress on a project I have out in the deep east Texas countryside. My name is Mauricio. Looking forward to more of your videos. I am watching the beach camp video next. 😎
Well done, great work. Where did you get the image at 3.13, the front of the Raven Hotel. I am working on a 3D model of the Raven, and this is a different image to that i have looked at.
Thanks Alan, I just google searched all the images Alan and unfortunately I didn’t keep the photos after I made the video. It’s definitely out there though, thanks for the comment
So many Shrewsbury Council officials and planners over the years should have been strung up for the destruction of so many beautiful buildings inthe town. Some must have received back handers
100% Lotty, Shrewsbury was absolutely destroyed in the late 60’s and 70’s, buildings torn down under ridiculous ideas that they were unsafe. Places like York etc are so beautiful because they left them alone and took pride in their history and preserved their heritage. Shrewsbury is beautiful but it could and should have been so much nicer. Well said 👍🏻
If you enjoyed this video, how about supporting my channel by subscribing, it’s free and simple to do and is a kind way to say thankyou

Barker street bus station..Aww memories
Yeah, waiting there for the S19 with my mum to get home to Bayston Hill
The house where Frankwell island is now was not demolished. It was taken down and taken elsewhere, not sure where off the top of my head.
Correct but most of the buildings weren’t saved
Almost at 1k subs🎊🎊🎉🎉🤾♂️
lol,,, I’m not bothered anymore about subs brother, one minute you have 750 and the next you have 744 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Never makes sense.
