My 690 came with a small red tool for cleaning brushes. Personally, I empty the dustbin after each trip around the house and rinse the filter once a week.
raven gale Do you know how to clean the little gold round sensor thing under the brushes? I've tried everything, and mine is not coming clean. I think it's not allowing the Roomba to locate dust as well.
You can wash the filter been doing that to my 595, soap and water on white part just let dry. Brushes get replaced when they wear down not touching the ground, rubber when develops tears. Starr brush when it breaks buy can air to blow everything out. You really need to remove back cover and gear box blowing it out, 3 times year
Hi there. Can i please ask you a question? I can't find this info in the manual. Once my roomba goes to base, the green light on the base comes on and then it goes off! Also all the lights on the unit itself goes off... So i don't know if it is charging or it is defective. Is it supposed to do this? I thought the green light on tbm base would always stay on. Thanks.
Yara Brandao I just went to check on mine and all the lights were off. I then checked it in the app and it was done charging, 100%. I moved it around and the lights lit up and then a minute later only the green "ready" light remained on for a minute and they all turned off again. I think you're fine, is your battery at 100% as seen in the app? Hope that helps!
@@louididdy thank you for the answer. yeah... glad mine is fine. but this is a very weird feature. the led on the base should show the status of the unit. having to press on the button or look on the cell is stupid. i want to walk by and see. i think they could have done it this way. or have at least a way to turn on and off this feature. but anyway, thank you!
Monica Briones It doesn't, but there are higher level models that do. Regardless, you get the hang of it after a while and check it after very other use or if you notice that it's not picking as much stuff as it can.
WOW, after three months you finely got around to cleaning your Cyborg Rat. It will have a short life if you keep treating it that way. You missed a lot of points. Maybe watch a UA-cam video on 'How to clean a Roomba' instead of making one ! Maybe just a REtitle : This is what your unit will look like if you only clean it every 90 Days Do you need a lesson on how to pick up dog poop' ?
go this roomba for holiday, now im smoked out out mezmerized watchin it clean my apartment
I can’t say enough good things about my Roomba🌼 You can start it from the app from anywhere. I know I am coming home to clean floors and it’s awesome.
Thank you for this video. I’m a newbie to Roomba and can’t find the manual, so I didn’t even know how to empty the dustbin!
Susan Walker I really appreciate the kind words! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I appreciate the video, thanks for the efforts
The yellow caps on the brush ends come off as well so you can clean under them

Hahaha, dog hair.
louididdy Ok !! 😅 I’m getting this model on Black Friday in Target...They will be on sale for $275...so let any family member know !!
Thats a good price! I really like starting it off with my voice with Alexa before I leave my place, it's great!
Ok I may be messy but that’s not the same as dirty . That is nasty man
You should be emptying the bin after EVERY use.
raven gale I promise to do it next time mom! 😉
Do you even have a roomba
Skullraiderz yup. Sure do. A roomba 690. Do you?

I realize I am pretty off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream new series online?

It has been used several times and loved.
Hi I wonder if you can actually wash the blue filter under the water for this model? Thx
You can, just let it dry before you put it back in.
How do I replace the filter
I can’t really see when you lift “a stick” to empty the dirt tray and remove the filter. I hope you can be details on that part 😐

Das ıst nicht normal . :))) bist du friseur .?
you’re suppose to empty it after each cleaning cycle......
Meh, depends on how dirty your place is. I clean mine once in a while.
*supposed
i have not been able to download the app. it says you do not have a device
My roomba runs out of power and can’t get back to the base to recharge. What could be the problem?
You might be giving it too big a space to clean. Does this happen if you just test it out in one room in your house?
Jessica Karl the battery , or the contacts are dirty on the Roomba and base
Does it tell you when it's full?
