The concept of the Wall can't be written in three senzences. However I try: Roger got medication to be able to play a gig. He then had his worst experience as a music artist to play that concert. In 77 Pink Floyd played in Montrral where Roger was so angry for many reason that he spat into a face of a fan. In that concert he imagined to shoot the audience and felt completely disconnected from all that rock stadium game. Then there was the former frontman Syd Barrett that left the band due to mental issues and finaly Waters went through divorses of his wife. Oh and he lost his dad in WW2. All these topics are put into the concept of Pink. A rock star that build a wall around him and finally get a fascist. Crazy and maybe not too smart. But from a musically standpoint this album is outstanding. Gilmour and Wright always made Pink Floyd to sound great. Waters had a great feeling of good concepts and lyrics. But he as well he was able to create unexpected structures that was lost later in the Pink Floyd work.
Ah, very detailed comment, I appreciate the effort! Yeah, I remember something about an incident in Montreal, but don't think I knew it had anything to do with the concept of this album.
Animals is a fantastic album. But it was live even better. I strongly recomment to listen to the 77 bootleg from Oakland. You have in that very concert a fantastic Pigs Three Diferent Ones with a long jam of Gilmour and Wright.
Animals for sure is the best

Correct! I do not like them whatsoever!
(But I'll still "like" the video!)
'Atta boy, on both count!
Your reasons for your initial dislike are the same as mine!
I love Pink Floyd but not this album , it’s too drawn out with too much filler. Animals is their best ever album I feel.
Yep, it's looooong.
