He ended up regretting that request and tried to go back on it but The Blazers GM wasn't having it.

Not necessarily true either, the heat trade didn’t materialize so he told Joe Cronin he’d come back for training camp and the start of the season. He didn't rescind his trade request, and that’s why Joe Cronin didn’t want him coming back, he wanted to be done with the trade come training camp.
End of the day they guy got traded.
The Blazer's never wanted to deal with Miami. There is beef between them and no matter what the trade was, they weren't going to talk a trade deal.
It’s making me sad as a dame fan I thought he was just adjusting in the first half of the season plus he didn’t get a training camp or nun but this is upsetting, I hope the best for him.

Giannis career reminds me of a point in time in lebrons. There was a short period when lebron was somewhat being overlooked and talked about less bcuz his rate of excellence was so consistent he set the bar to point where he wasn't talked about with the same excitement bcuz he wasn't doing anything new, he was jst consistently great. Giannis is going to have to go on a Herculean run of consistently being a finals mvp threat and he'll join the ranks in the Kobe LeBron Shaq Jordan conversation.

Let's not revise history guys
1. Blazers wanted to rebuilt and also wanted to not been seen as trading away Dame
2. "hey, I need appropriate help ...no kids..give me a chance with help!"
3. They refused to honor his request (which is fine, he's under contract)
4. Obviously Dame did not take this well and requested a trade to a specific team
5. Blazers doubled down on the disrespect by sending him to The Bucks....which again he's under contract. They can do that.
At this point it's worth noting a few things
A. Blazers did NOT recieve a "hawl" for Dame, the Heat's potential package was at min just as good BUT the Blazers did not consider them an option...not even once due to the narrative created by Dame's request, his agent and Cronin's emotionalism.
B. De'Andre would have been part of the package the Blazers received even if they traded with the Heat.
Sidenote: when Blazer fans called the potential Heat trade "trash, etc." They likely refused Jaime Jaquez who has out performed Scoot in every way this season. Heat fans felt disrespected BUT are far from salty😅

Excellent video. I’m no performance athlete but I used to be a hotshot trial attorney (of sorts). Anyway I got divorced and I now live a 6.5 hour drive from my two boys, whom I get to see 4.5 days out of every 14 days. I cannot even begin to tell you how hard I have found this. I had no idea Dame was going through a divorce until watching this video. I’m amazed he’s been playing even this well, reflecting upon my own experience. Good luck to him and his family including his ex-wife 🙏🏾
Man, I feel that. Once you have kids everything changes. Sure, money and fame can grease the wheels but there’s nothing that can replace family.

The way I see it, no coaching changes easy and switching to a new team isn't easy for the season. The bucks have the third best record in the league at the moment and there are seven and seven with doc as their coach I personally don't see them in a bad spot at all. Their defense is finally getting back to what it was. Giannis is still doing giannis things and if Lillard peaks in the playoffs. It could be something good for them mind you, this is coming from a Laker fan that doesn't actually want them to win

Dame has been unselfish, he's always looking to get his teammates involved first. I like the way he finds people out there in their flow of things. He works well with everybody. But since the season started i've noticed that the other players don't look to him in the same way. So i hope they will reward him with passes that play to his strengths too.
