    Hi. I have a similar problem with this AND gate not outputting 5V, but it is because there is no 2.4v on pin 2 of the AND gate. Anyone know where this 2.4v should come from? Thanks

      There is an AND gate with the marking U29. It's on the right front side of the board near the memory Inductor. Check on pin 4 if you got any voltage. There should be voltage on pin 1, 2 and 5. Something may be missing there. Start there. It could also be that that AND gate is faulty.

    Thanks bro! Your tip helped me a lot!
    Can I ask you what cards have this type of AND gate and is it possible for some other cards to have this kind of problem?
    thanks a lot.

      All cards have AND gate. The one used on this card can also be found on the 2060, 2070 and 2080 cards. Apart from that the 3060 and 3060ti. 3070 is the one which dies commonly with this problem. Not observed other cards die like this.

    What is the part number for the gate please? I have the tools to replace but finding part number difficult to read.

    I have a update on my fix with the same card bro!
    So I found the shorted DrMosfet by removing all 4 inductors and I found the culprit and removed it.
    I've replaced the AND Gate that has problems but the GPU refused to be detected.
    At this point I decided to remove the replaced AND gate and started the GPU with mesuring the pads where the AND gate supposed to deliver 3.3V, 2.4V, 5V and 1.5V and to my biggest surprise all those voltages are present without the AND gate on the card!!!
    I booted the card, installed the drivers and I was surprised it worked fine!
    How is that possible bro? Can I leave it like this or should I definitely replace this AND gate?
    The card worked even without the Mosfet replaced (I couldn't find one at the moment).

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  7 місяців тому

      Looks like the 5v from the input is shorted to 5v output. That can explain why you have 5v on the output pin which triggers the DRMOS to activate. There is no other explanation. The AND on pin 4 is output that triggers 5v to DRMOS and pin 5 where it should have 5V input. Somehow 5v is going straight to pin 4 which should not happen without the AND gate. So currently it is bypassing the logic and activating the rest of the circuit. Now there should not be any 1.5v on any pin 1 should be 2.4v pin 2 should be 3.3v pin 3 is ground pin 4 is output and pin 5 is 5v input which gets transferred to pin 4 when voltage is present in pin 2 and 3. So on which pin do you get 1.5v? If pin 5 then there is something wrong with a resistor on the line.

      @@GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql I got 1.5V on Pin 4 and 2.4V on pin 2 (the AND gate pads).
      I'm currently testing the card and it's working fine with Games sor far.
      May I bother you with one last question bro?
      Can I replace the BLN0 Drmos (AOz5311nqi) to a SIC632 Drmos?
      I've looked for the Datasheet of those mosfets and they quite similar with little differences (If I'm not wrong).

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  7 місяців тому +1

      It should be 5v on pin 4. So the AND gate is not outputting the 5v now if the 1.5v is still present with the AND gate removed then 5v is shorting to the other side and you have a blown resistor between the DRMOS and the pin 4 of the AND gate which is dropping the voltage to 1.5v. since the DRMOS is receiving it's 5v it is activating the DRMOS and card is working as rest of the voltages are present. Now about switching to Sic I really have not tried it but if the Amps rating is the same and the pin out matches it should work. Just match the datasheet for both. When I get back home in the evening I will check it too and update you. There are a few differences you should know. The switching frequency for BLNO is 2Mhz whereas SIC is 1.5Mhz may cause issues(not confident as not tested myself). The pin out are the same so it can be installed but I have never tested this combination so I would not know how it will perform after installation.

      3.3V is pin 1 , the middle pin is pin 2 . The enable voltage of 2.4V on pin 2 comes from the 6 pin Q-FET marked Q5. if on the Q-FET there is nothing coming from pin 3 You will have to check another AND gate marked U29.

      Thats good. With heavens the GPU boosts at max frequency. It depends on what I want to achieve. If I was repairing memory related errors then I only use heavens. If power related I use furmark or all 3 or sometimes 3dmark. It depends on what I am trying to test, stability or artifacts.
