The Digette version was the popular version in the U.S. (especially New York area). The Die Doraus Und Die Marinas version was played in the U.S., but it was less popular since it was not in English.
Please don't be so ignorant. This song/version got a fair amount of radio airplay in the 80's in the U.S., especially in the New York area from WLIR-FM. I certainly consider it a classic. The Die Doraus Und Die Marinas version was/is virtually unknown in the U.S. until Ivan Baker (popular NYC DJ/producer) and Peter Baumann (of Tangerine Dream) did this interpretation.
I've played this song 100 times since I found it here on UA-cam! I remember it on LIR and dancing to it at Malibu!
lol....20 something years later and I finally hear it in english. no idea there was a cover.
Thank you WHFS in the 80s 💖
WLIR Memory. Loved those New Wave novelty records
I heard this on WLIR and combed many record stores before finding it on vinyl. Can't say I played it much though, lol
Me, too! WLIR was for us underground radicals! Lol! Do you remember star trekking and homecoming queen? Fun songs.
nice version. catches the spirit of the original. thank you, Digette !!!
purple disco feels. The instrumental on this is actually pretty good classic 80s.

Sind das ebenfalls "Dorau und die Marinas"? Oder ist das eine andere Combo?
It is a remake of the Die Doraus Und Die Marinas song "Fred Vom Jupiter". Digette is a different group than Die Doraus Und Die Marinas.

@@SpyderSpyder The original from Die Doraus und die Marinas was the popular one in San Francisco.
Was this the only Digette release?

silly classic.
Raynald Turner How is that a classic? Just an obscure cover of an obscure German pop song... it's not even that good of a cover...
