Recently, I had my mind changed about Strats with my recent buy of a used 60s Squier Classic Vibes. Today, I try a highly touted Tease ST-1. What will happen? 🤔
@@2bikemikesguitartopics145 Yeah! $28 in taxes, so $33 to bring it in. So far so good. Just needs a few more passes with the emery block to get rid of fret sprout. Then, I wait a week before looking after the neck and frets.
Hi Cal, congratulations on the new guitar. The burst has always been my favourite colour for a Strat although I've never owned one in that colour. It must have been a bit of a disheartening moment when you first saw the box but this time no harm was done. It's a great looking and sounding guitar. I can see you're fast becoming a proper Strat person.
@@Reeldin58 Hi Rod, Thx much! This was an experiment to see if my first 2 were just simply not right for me. It's looking that way right now! Have to play it against the Classic Vibe soon!
I ordered the same one! the fret ends were so sharp they shredded the sanding sponge, I had to break out the files, and it had a lot of high frets! Turned out good after a lot of work, I put in Kaish locking tuners, I've had great luck with them! the tease tuners were really sloppy, I'll upgrade the pickups and wiring in the future! Thanks, looking forward to part 2! Also I doubt we'll see any new lefty's from Tease!
Yikes, Cal, the box is barely fit for Rocko playing hide and seek in! Glad they put a piece of card paper under the strings at least. Too many "crushed boxes, crushed hopes" stories like this have prevented me so far buying anything via online. Just as well there's no room in my seniors flat for a collection of more than a handful. Glad it worked out in spite of low paid contractors' best resentful efforts, and looking forward to the Squier CV compare.

Looks decent. Get hit with bad tax cross border from USA.
My Groove from St. Jean is good. Videos to come when thr Framptonator is done.

Congrats on the new guitar. Looks like a keeper!😃
@@j-man9457 For under $250, it's quite the find. Thx, J!
