I would recommend a test using an arc subclass with Thunderlord and a piece of the new raid armor with the new perk: Precise Jolts. Rapid precision hits with Arc weapons jolts the target. You might find the DPS results surprising.
T-Lord is better if you use triple arc surge, and do the little glitch where you have 3 arc reserve mods on a different chest, rally, then swap back, and keep all your ammo. Everyone in my group did that, and the one phase wasn't that difficult. We would succeed more than twice as often as we failed.

The new Regnant GL from Defiance can also get Envious Assassin, which can overload the mag with rapid kills (kills in general when enhanced) which might let you do more immediate damage since you don't need to swap.
I run that with Explosive Light and Witherhoard and consistently get 3.5mil+ damage

I love thunderlord for this raid. Was telling everyone I played with thunderlord on day 1 since it did good damage and was more forgiving for missing, and can be used for ads. Theres so many ways to get heavy ammo this season too.
I would love to see more of this. The exotic rating videos you did for last wish were some of my favorites.
Nez already has so little health I wouldn't be surprised if you could solo him with salvation grip

My team used Star-Eater Silkstrike Hunter with Tractor instead of Div. Kept up with the damage the others were doing :3
Pugged the raid last night (not in contest) and as we went through we kept looking up the guides. "In Kackis we trust" became a mantra for us over the course of our 4 hour clear. Keep up the good work dude, us plebs need you

@Callum Boddy i watch both before doing the raid, but i find rick is more thorough with the little nitty gritty things, thus longer vids. Honestly the longest part was learning where the nodes are for the gauntlet

@Callum Boddy 1000% i also like the fact that there is just some add clear roles, so you can "carry" someone to a first clear by just getting them to kill shit
the non precision testing can actually be higher if you swap out the div for a tractor since you dont even require the crit spot and get more dmg buff
I love this trend and I hope Bungie keeps it up, where almost any weapon type is viable for the raid boss. Also that the boss moves around and actually fights the Guardians.

Quick tip for people like Mr. Kackis here who are worried about going past the boss when using the Lament, literally just don't press the 'W' key/don't hold forward on your analog stick. Just spam your combos and orientate the camera and you're good to go

Fourth horsemen works great in a mask of bakris hunter build. Stasis melee reloads your both your fourth horsemen and your rockets. It’s pretty based.
My suggestions for a part two would be the Prospector, and Anarchy hot swapping. Very helpful video overall!

We did Nezzy today 3x and I dusted off my old Vorpal Cartesian and I was hitting between 2 and 3 mil per dps phase I only knew because of wiping. The div bubble stays around his knees even when he's up in the air if some people didn't know which helped me stay on point with the crit hits. Gonna try my adept Vorpal hothead with the Gally next and craft that grenade launcher thanks Kackis!
Edit: My Cartesian isn't even a "god roll" I don't think it, it just has lead from gold and Vorpal with particle repeater and hitmark ls.
Can you do a run with the new exotic machine gun, Deterministic Chaos, using the volatility artifact and increased void damage artifact with void mods. That would be interesting to see, with the increased damage potential with the fourth shot perks, increased damage and so much volatility...
The new trace rifle from the raid does insane damage too!

Your test using rat king isn’t how that worked for day 1, when hitting final stand and running out of ammo we would swap to eat king or outbreak perfected for the consistent dps for the small amount of health he had left. Not for straight dps just in case anyone was wondering what was up with that in the vid
On my starfire wellock i got 2.9mil using witherhoard and retrofit escapade with enhanced 4ths and target lock. Works great with that build since you're throwing nades as well. Plus the ammo economy is amazing. Not sure how well it would fair on hunter but i imagine it would run with a titan build too.
*quick thought, gyrfalcons hunter would probably be amazing because of the volatile up time and dodge to reload
Don’t have a crafted retrofit :/ but my damage wasn’t close to yours. Could you explain the rotation you did during dps? Cause this is my exact build and I’d love to make it more efficient
I used Starfire and my Incandescent Avalanche machine gun for the entire raid. Best ad clear ever and on Nez I put out a clean 3mil damage in a 2 phase with my team. MG's in general do good damage now and have enough ammo to be used more often outside of DPS too.
During contest mode I was on starfire with arby (boss stun) and hothead, best run got 2.8mil damage, but after 4 hours on Nez still failed, no one else on my team got to 2 mil damage, some not even 1 mil even with rockets and gally....
@@TrainWithCaleb just with the crafted retrofit I was able to pull 2m+ and I used no Grenades. I used lunafaction boots so my team can get better reload speed for more dps
Witherhoard hotswap to adept hot head field prep/explosive light + Wolfpack rounds gave me ~3 mill damage last night after two phases. Will try izinagi
I want to see bastion. I used that as a secondary damage weapon with our rockets and it seemed to be doing well

Could you test out Prospector? Given that gls got a dmage buff, surely it would be doing some incredible damage, as well as the anarchy + slug shotgun/fusion rifle

would love to see everyone using two tailed fox with catalyst i used it alone in my day 1 for this raid and got the most damage very curious
I saw a team one phase hothead, and then merciless. Then for DPS check, there was a swap to rat king to finish the kill.
I wonder how Fire and Forget would do. Instead of one projectile per shot it's three, and even though Veist Stinger was nerfed Fire and Forget could activate Veist more often than Taipan statistically. Never did any raids with mine which is why I ask the question.
If you can hit your crits, Fire and Forget is great. The issue is that the boss makes it really hard to do so... Can it work? Yes. Is it consistent? F no.
Honestly? Grand Overture sounds pretty amazing to me, especially considering its insane ammo economy. But fr, the best is defo witherhoard + starfire warlock and any half-competent heavy. you could easily pull off a one-phase with cataclysmic, ascendance, any solar gl, you could even swap out witherhoard for a merciless and some gl for quick unload bc both shoot so fast you're getting your fusions like crazy
We used the tractor cannon instead of divinity and did more damage with rat king. It’s also much easier for people to have in lfg
You could try Prospector. However, it may run into the same ammo issues as 4th horseman and merciless.

So surely you can have witherhoard, rapid fusion and rockets for the loadout. Hoard him, rockets and then fusion when run out. And if course super damage too.
But you can only have 1 person using hoard right

The Regnant heavy GL is also bpid and wil get damage from volatile too so it'll be higher dps for it too.

Prospector? 1k? Did they re-enable Grand Overture? Deterministic Choas? Heart Shadow with Lament for debuff? Two-tailed with cat? I haven't been able to play since before the raid came out and won't be able to until this weekend. Would appreciate more DPS testing.
On my starfire, probably gonna use my wither, gnawing with volatile, and bad omens. All have auto load. Should be a good combo. Also spam nades.

if you dont have the catalyst for thunderlord, Heir Apparent is a good choice. was out DPSing everyone on my team.
1 gally 1 two tailed fox 1 bump in the night with chill clip demo and 3 hotheads all with Starfire and witherhoard if available was what my team used and it shredded him
Sleeper would be interesting thinking about it beeing one of the linears that didnt got nerfed

Depends on the raid. Rockets have been the go to for most raid encounters minus VOW where the ogre is fusions and shotguns and izzy/rocket swap for rhulk.
@@rob3497 interesting take on Rhulk. All the runs I’ve done it’s always been Div and LFRs for damage, but must try the Izi Rockets hotswap.

Does anyone know if Nezarec having his shoulder armour on makes a difference
to damage? Sometimes we'd damage him and he had the glowing shoulders, other times we'd get him to damage and he didn't have them. I wonder if it makes a difference to his damage resistance, like a Tormentor.

Ikelos Sniper does good damage with Seraph Rounds, FTTC, HIR(or Focused Fury), you do have to hit the crits though. I didn't find it too difficult, just hit the chest instead of the div bubble, hotswap to your Rocket Launcher when he jumps in the air, swap back. Can even use something like Witherhoard of Osteo to do tick damage while you do the other two.
I think with Nezarec, it's better to throw Tether once he's gotten close to you. I think losing a person to Div on DPS is not optimal. Tether is better, especially for impact weapons like Rocket Launchers/heavy GLs that aren't dependent on hitting crits, AND you get an extra 15% debuff over Div.
Your damage test is good for Weapon damage testing, but throwing those high damage supers(CataclyNova, Thundercrash, Blade Barrage) would be the difference between the 1-phase and not getting it. Or you can just save it for Final Stand, which is also fine. I don't think it's optimal to use DoT supers(Gathering Storm, DoT Nova, Chaos Reach). You want stuff that deals all of its damage up front and isn't dependent on the boss standing in one spot.
Honestly, you could probably 1-phase this boss with 6 Hunters with SES, Radiant, Golden Gun Marksman. He's not really much of a damage wall.
Funny enough i found quicksilver storm was doing a crazy amount of damage havent seen 5 of them though
Okay so my dps combo can even out about 1 mil in like 10 seconds so here it is(btw I'm a warlock)star fire, haizen vengeance overflow cluster impact casing,wither hoard,god roll callus mini tool, 3 solar weapon buffs and well or you could use a heavy gl that's all

Yeah, with the yellow/blue mods/artefact bugs, the usual extra damage from the new Void LMG isn’t a runner for one phasing.
Unpopular opinion, Actium war rig is a must have for the raid completion. You can use a machine gun the entire time no matter what it may be and still be goated with the sauce
Newsflash Riptide with ALH & Chill Clip is the best fusion in the game. It feels exotic in every way.

Couldn't you use the Titan barricade that reloads your weapon when you crouch? For weapons that have longer reload speeds.
I used two tailed with the catalyst during contest and got a consistent 2.3-2.7 per two damage phases

dps is good but keep in mind, it has alot less total damage and total damage is what held gls back
Yea, I just did it, non contest mode, took, 3 phases and neither runner could finish fast enough. I don't see this being a Sister's farm.
of the linear fusion rifles did u also test the fire and forget the 3 shot bust if u can build it whit +10 stabiletie frame , corkscrew barel , surplus enhaced trait and chill clip enhaced trait maby it wil slow or freeze the big boss and i also use the boss spec mod that deals more dmg vs boss

This season at least wouldn't a void rocket make more sense than Hothead? I mean, virtually free volatile rounds should bump that damage up enough to 1 phase with the setup you guys used.
