- In this episode, Dad and I take advantage of the good Brisbane winter weather and head across the Moreton Bay to fish Mud Island for the afternoon. Our target species for this trip was bream, squire and tailor...all of which we managed to find.
Loved this, as I did so with your other videos. Where you parked and fished...... its been over 34 years since we fished there. Your dad may remember "Blueys" place that use to exist, where what is now "an enlarged Fisherman's Island Port terminal".
We all use to seek shelter at "Blueys" when the weather turned or we needed a break from running around the Islands chasing Squire or School Mackie's and the ever abundant school Tailor fishing with the tides. I'm just saying thankyou and very grateful for you doing these adventures, that people like myself who can no longer, frequently, indulge in this wonderful Past time. Keep up the excellent work mate and regards to your dad for "keeping in" and to you, making him part of the adventure.

Best way to fish mud is with big baits , , whole mullet fillets cut in half or even better tailor and leave your rod in the rod holder until it screams
Lots of small shit pickers in-between the big ones. !!!!
That’s good advice, Rob 👍🏼
