Tweed yarn gives a different look to a knitted or crocheted fabric…a little added interest. This time on Monday Marketplace we are showing several items all made with Universal Yarn Deluxe DK Tweed Superwash. We show a beautiful green sweater with contrasting collar and ribbing called Pilger. This unisex sweater has a beautiful textured pattern that shows well with the tweed yarn. The Almas Poncho has color work trim on the top and bottom adding some bands of color. Sue is modeling the Wanderer Cardigan with color work, front zipper and pockets. Again, the texture stands out in this yarn. Pam is wearing the crocheted Mod Tiles Cardigan. So many different options of colors can be used in this granny square looking sweater. The large rust and gray shawl with the lace edge is called Drifting Hap. It can be doubled by folding in half for a cozy triangular shawl. The Macera color work shawl has a unique lace edge which is knit in a different direction than the rest of the shawl. Last, we show the double thick Moor Hat. The outside is cabled and the inside is stockinette in a different color making the hat reversible! This trunk show will be in the store until Thanksgiving. That gives you lots of time to check it out all of the great color choices.
