JUST TO HIGHLIGHT. Some of your favourite vocalists may not be included. Quite evidently, a certain 40 year old Korean soprano is not present, but that's only because this video is intended to highlight unseen or underappreciated vocals. But don't worry, there will be many more parts to this series so you're favs will appear at some point :) Thanks for watching! BIG Thanks to Levandé, Tortelini and The Phantom of Singing
Haeri is the queen of E5's. I really liked her version of Someone Like You. Seungyeon mix is insane. I'm really happy to hear these F5s, as many of her 5th octave notes in the last 2 years sound thinner and more tensed. Lina's D5's are so impressive. She deserves much more appreciation! I can't stand Lena Park's vocal style, but her mix is really underrated. Great video as always!
Lee HaeRi is too underappreciated. And yes, I know what you mean. I kinda feared for SSY's voice but she still got it :) That D5 by Lina is HUGE and so is the 2nd D5 by Lena ahha. I get what you mean about her style. Sometimes I still don't like it but I think Lena is very underrated because she's often compared to Sohyang technically. But yea, her mix is VERY resonant. Not enough people realise that haha

*RESONANCE for daaaaayyyyyssss!* At times, it even feels like my phone is vibrating! 3:43 That song is heartbreaking yet beautiful! Celine's songs are so touching and most of them have a nostalgic feel to them. Such a phenomenal vocalist! Please what is the title of that performance (pls could you share the link 😍) 3:23 Whitney's voice was so powerful and so beautiful; I don't ever recall her sounding harsh like many other powerhouse vocalists. Lovely compilation ❣
I agree. Céline has such a unique sound. Like it sounds like she has reverb on her voice all the time. Even without any microphone haha. And yes. Whitney imo was the best belter of the trinity. She always sounded pleasant even if she had to push. But her tone was just so great. Here is the performance. It’s called ‘Goodbye’s the saddest word’ ua-cam.com/video/yAwObm9uKXc/v-deo.html Thanks for watching :)
@@idontshutupaboutmusic Yes, Celine's voice has that quality! I recall a certain vocal coach even thinking that her live D5 in her cover of "Imagine" (early 90's) wasn't live & had autotune simply because of how great it sounded 😅 Her resonance is piercing. I do agree with what you said about Whitney. In her true prime, she was the best belter among her vocal sisters. Thanks for sharing that link 💕 "Goodbye's The Saddest Word" is one of my fave songs of all time albeit it's hard to listen to it a lot; so heartwrenching! Oh it may sound strained. In fact I thought she always strained because of how tense her vibrato is. But it’s probably one of the most resonant notes. If you listen to just how HUGE the note actually is. Her resonance is placed more in the mask, therefore the higher frequencies are more piercing to our ears. That’s why it is so massive. But yea don’t worry. I’ll make vids about lee haeri in the future about her technique. But just note that note is VERY resonant :)
That is true. Some notes lose support near the end due to tension or vibrato issues. But all notes highlighted are at least resonant for the majority of the note :)
@@liamcuerquis9631 I can assure you that all of the notes that were specifically labelled were actually supported, unless the vibrato or sustaining caused tension, but all were actually resonant for at least a portion of the note even if they lost support :)
@@idontshutupaboutmusic I really appreciate your work, I saw a lot of your clips and saw how much you invested time and work on it , thank you again ❤️

I completely agree. Their resonance is just MASSIVE
I always impress with Lena’s C#5, very close vowel but she keep it resonances.
The second Lena’s D5 is so beautiful!! thank you for an amazing video.
