If you don't have talent, even if you have money and cute things, you won't be able to create the things you think you can do. So, "be talented" should be the first step.
I have some advice, so when I started to do journalling, my handwriting was trash and I couldn’t print out photos, but in my opinion it still looks pretty good. Also by doing journaling my handwriting got so much better!! Even if you don’t have all the materials you can always compromise. So instead of printing some thing you can draw it.

My photos were also very pixelated and were always black and white bc of our old printer. I’m working on my 3rd journal now and I still don’t have that big of a stationary collection. I’ve gotten stickers from friends and even purchased them from Walmart, they even sell washi tape for $2 for a pack of 5. I finally bought myself some Crayola markers for $3 and some Sharpie pens to write. I’ve improved a lot and now I don’t really use many stickers or much washi tape. I don’t see many people do it but I use scraps of tissue paper and packaging from items in my spreads bc I feel like it would make my spreads more unique and I’m also reducing the amount of trash I throw away.

To the people who are broke/feel like their budget wouldn’t fit with journaling (like me, im so envious lol), here are alternative ways to make your journal look cute! •use scrap paper whether it’s from old homework you don’t need anymore or even regular tissue paper! All you need is some cheap glue (I use the liquid elmer’s glue bc that’s the only glue I can find in my house) to stick it on and you got part of a spread down! If you see a cute picture on some paper you were about to throw away, cut it out and save it for later! Cute picture on packages or see something on the thing that normally would be thrown away? Save it and cut out whatever you need for that extra pop! •Draw instead of print! It doesn’t matter whether your art is bad or good, you’re drawing for your faves and that’s dedication! It’ll even give the spread a more sketchbooky feel. Plus, it reduces paper usage and saves you some cash in the long run. •Cheap supplies can last just as long as the more bougie supplies if they’re decent quality, you do not need expensive stationary for journaling. I used to use Crayola colored pencil and it is a good quality for a cheap price. Use sharpies or bic (be wary of bleeding through the pages), ballpoint pens, cheap walmart washi tape that are probably $10 at the most, cheap stickers sheets!!! If it doesn’t hurt your pocket too badly, you have the choice to get it! Hell, get your journals from the store! Well, even I'm into journaling and have been doing it for over a year now. The first time I started doing it was for K-pop itself and now also it's the same. Even I only use only a notebook and a very basic black gel pen. The other things I use are all handmade craft papers, crayons, and ribbons. For journaling, the material is not as important as the technique. Obviously, it will be better if you have all the stuff but as long as you have good handwriting and technique, the journal will make you feel satisfied.
well thats how you start it. i have a journal, it contains no photos but pieces of paper i drew which was stunning to me. i only used my pen, a highlighter and my ruler.

i have everything that i'd need to start journaling. exept a printer. so when i want to print things. i have to do that at my school. but my friends want to go home immediately after school. so then, i have to ride alone for half an hour (on my bike, in the pouring rain) the struggle is real.
Jungcookie-. hi! so if you’re in quarantine currently, i would suggest that you get a little handheld printer so you can connect to your phone. these handheld printers are a lot cheaper and you can get it at a lot of places such as amazon. for example, if you have a walmart in your country, there are small polaroid printers to print out pictures. hope i helped =(^.^)=

My dad can get me printed pictures . We also hv a printer at home(black nd white) . From shop we can get colorful pics too but u know I want that pics stickers . My dad gave me mosny to buys things. He never said no you can't buy this. But u know the thing is that i know my father always tries his best to buy things I want , to make me happy but you know whenever I buy anything even my notebook from my father's money I feel too much sad and shamed. Just a tip or info thing for people: You can get really cute and nice looking pictures of K-Pop idols when you go to conventions hosted by other fans or fansites. Or you can buy them in packs online for quite a cheap price: lomo cards and others that you can find. You can also print them, but do NOTE that a better printer will help the over all look. Also, I do suggest that you can find pieces of paper for deco in your everyday life. Example receipts, gift wrappers. Instead of tearing them, carefully open it, and you can use the wrapping in your journal. You can also try printing cute "aesthetic backgrounds." For stickers and washy tape, it's more of an investment. You can buy a lot of cute ones online is different websites and Instagram accounts. If you think you can commit to making journal, then I think it would be nice to buy a few nice ones. But remember to think before you buy lol. P.s. Practice writing the headers and etc, before writing on the journal!! That's all. I hope you guys can decide on whether to invest or not. Also the video was so 💛💜aesthetic

Ella Böhm so, my dad has two different printers, the one is just for regular printing on printer paper (that’s where i print the stuff that does into my journals). You can make a pdf file with the pictures you want to print and you can go to your local school and print the pictures there. the other printer that my dad has is for photo paper (matt & regular (with reflection n all that). You can print high quality pictures in stores that print those photos there (at least in germany) or you can download the app shutterfly where you can get pictures delivered. I recomend you to choose the format 4x6 and make collages on them (4 pics per print)

I started little by little and because I don’t have many washi tapes, I’m starting to get bored. As a broke teenager, lol, I started using construction paper and cardstock I got for my birthday and other projects. hi! i just use stickers or just anything i find laying around the house that looks pretty for my journal, a printer isnt exactly neccassary but it does make journaling more convenient. also, u can use any materials u like for journaling (if u have any u like), it rlly just depends on what u like the most. hope this can help :)

Like she said you dont have to have all that stuff, just buy a cheap journal and make the most out of what you already have at home. Eventually you might get motivated to keep doing it or you might realize its not your thing. If you cant get pictures, try drawing them, if you dont want to maybe go to a library (maybe at your school) and print some out, or you can cut out pics from magazines. Its not like you have to have photos of kpop to make a kpop journal as long as it relates to kpop its fine. Hopefully you can save up for it but honestly do what you can instead of thinking about what you cant do. Sorry this was kind of ramble but i just wanted to say this to those who want to do this but feel like they cant.

Even if you are broke you don't really need BUY the cute stuff Am myself started my journal and was watching her video for inspiration on what I can do with things I have Only things I have is a diary, regular pen, plane sticky notes as they are not available near me and some highlighters and some printed photos of my fav group I make every thing by myself like the washi tape by colouring the plane paper with highlighters and sticking it with glue on the diary I customize my sticky note with the highlighters and regular pen I print cute chibi ver of my idol in small size cut it and just stick it as I like And believe me it looks amazing

I don't think you need any fancy supplies to do this. I used my grandma's old never before used notebook that's like 40 years old but I cleaned it. I still keep some markers and colour pencils from middle school which still work so I used them. I used our old black and white printer for the pictures. Oh and a black pen :) If I want to decorate it a bit more I'll use some tissues. -the notebook has pink lines so it looks quite cool❤
I just want to tell everyone who think they need money to journal that it's not true at all! I've been journalling for like 4 years and I always use very cheap notebooks and random pens laying around my house. For me it's not necessarily lack of funds, more lack of effort, but I just want to stress that using cheap supplies is an option too. You could buy a lot of coloured paper for cheap or buy cheap pencils and markers, because who cares what it will look like, you're just doing to express yourself. I used to be really bad at making pretty spreads (I used to just write about my day and nothing else for the longest time), but now I'm practicing with color and composition and I'm getting better at it. Tip: keep an eye out for nice designs/nice pieces of paper and keep them to put them in your diary/journal Tl;dr Anyone can pick up this hobby! Your financial situation or skill level doesn't matter, just have fun
Also, I don't really do lettering or anything and I rarely draw in my dairy. You don't have to make your journal/diary look like everyone else's journal on the internet, just do what you feel comfortable with and what inspires you

okay i’ve seen so many people saying that they can’t do this because they’re broke. guys!! you don’t have to be rich to start a journal. start by just getting a notebook and writing. and here’s some cheap ways to get materials! stickers/washi tape/stationary/ect - aliexpress, dollar stores photos - walgreens prints are fairly cheap, and if you make a collage of photos and then send them in, you can just cut them out and save even more money. art supplies - 5Below, dollar stores, walmart. you can make nice things for not a lot of money, there’s ways, and you don’t need all of this to start, you can collect as you go along!

so when i want to print things. i have to do that at my school.
but my friends want to go home immediately after school.
so then, i have to ride alone for half an hour (on my bike, in the pouring rain)

Jungcookie-. hi! so if you’re in quarantine currently, i would suggest that you get a little handheld printer so you can connect to your phone. these handheld printers are a lot cheaper and you can get it at a lot of places such as amazon. for example, if you have a walmart in your country, there are small polaroid printers to print out pictures. hope i helped =(^.^)=

My dad can get me printed pictures . We also hv a printer at home(black nd white) . From shop we can get colorful pics too but u know I want that pics stickers . My dad gave me mosny to buys things. He never said no you can't buy this. But u know the thing is that i know my father always tries his best to buy things I want , to make me happy but you know whenever I buy anything even my notebook from my father's money I feel too much sad and shamed. Just a tip or info thing for people:
You can get really cute and nice looking pictures of K-Pop idols when you go to conventions hosted by other fans or fansites. Or you can buy them in packs online for quite a cheap price: lomo cards and others that you can find. You can also print them, but do NOTE that a better printer will help the over all look.
Also, I do suggest that you can find pieces of paper for deco in your everyday life. Example receipts, gift wrappers. Instead of tearing them, carefully open it, and you can use the wrapping in your journal. You can also try printing cute "aesthetic backgrounds."
For stickers and washy tape, it's more of an investment. You can buy a lot of cute ones online is different websites and Instagram accounts. If you think you can commit to making journal, then I think it would be nice to buy a few nice ones. But remember to think before you buy lol.
P.s. Practice writing the headers and etc, before writing on the journal!!

Ella Böhm so, my dad has two different printers, the one is just for regular printing on printer paper (that’s where i print the stuff that does into my journals). You can make a pdf file with the pictures you want to print and you can go to your local school and print the pictures there. the other printer that my dad has is for photo paper (matt & regular (with reflection n all that). You can print high quality pictures in stores that print those photos there (at least in germany) or you can download the app shutterfly where you can get pictures delivered. I recomend you to choose the format 4x6 and make collages on them (4 pics per print)

i just bought a bunch of washi tapes (120 freaking pieces and they are just newly bought ones) + stickers + grid notebooks...because i wanted to start making my own kpop journal and i decided to buy all of that in one go so that i wont have to buy all the materials piece by piece and lemme tell you it was freaking expensive lol.But i ended up not using a single thing.Now im just watching other people doing their own journals...i hope ill also have the courage to make one soon, i have the skills? i mean i already did one before but i got lazy and also ended up deleting my acc in ig + i also ended up using all of my old materials to my school work.Ughhh i dont want it to happen again to the new ones.. hope so
I started little by little and because I don’t have many washi tapes, I’m starting to get bored. I don’t have cute stickers, cute washis, cute sticky notes, but I tried my best and I love my spreads now. I hope I can buy as many as yours so I can journal to the fullest. As a broke teenager, lol, I started using construction paper and cardstock I got for my birthday and other projects. I stopped my journaling because of school and personal problems, but I’m hoping to make it a habit again since it was so much fun!

hi! i just use stickers or just anything i find laying around the house that looks pretty for my journal, a printer isnt exactly neccassary but it does make journaling more convenient. also, u can use any materials u like for journaling (if u have any u like), it rlly just depends on what u like the most. hope this can help :)

wow this us so inspiring ! i just started my journal new (for the 4th time or something...) and i didn’t have any motivation in the last few weeks. i didn’t know how to continue. but this video reminded me on how much fun it is to journal, that it’s okay to make mistakes and that it doesn’t have to be perfect. every journal is different. i think now i can watch some more videos and get started on journaling again! thank you for that video 💜💜

Like she said you dont have to have all that stuff, just buy a cheap journal and make the most out of what you already have at home. Eventually you might get motivated to keep doing it or you might realize its not your thing. If you cant get pictures, try drawing them, if you dont want to maybe go to a library (maybe at your school) and print some out, or you can cut out pics from magazines. Its not like you have to have photos of kpop to make a kpop journal as long as it relates to kpop its fine. Hopefully you can save up for it but honestly do what you can instead of thinking about what you cant do. Sorry this was kind of ramble but i just wanted to say this to those who want to do this but feel like they cant.

Am myself started my journal and was watching her video for inspiration on what I can do with things I have
Only things I have is a diary, regular pen, plane sticky notes as they are not available near me and some highlighters and some printed photos of my fav group I make every thing by myself like the washi tape by colouring the plane paper with highlighters and sticking it with glue on the diary I customize my sticky note with the highlighters and regular pen I print cute chibi ver of my idol in small size cut it and just stick it as I like
And believe me it looks amazing

I don't think you need any fancy supplies to do this. I used my grandma's old never before used notebook that's like 40 years old but I cleaned it. I still keep some markers and colour pencils from middle school which still work so I used them. I used our old black and white printer for the pictures. Oh and a black pen :) If I want to decorate it a bit more I'll use some tissues.

I just want to tell everyone who think they need money to journal that it's not true at all! I've been journalling for like 4 years and I always use very cheap notebooks and random pens laying around my house. For me it's not necessarily lack of funds, more lack of effort, but I just want to stress that using cheap supplies is an option too. You could buy a lot of coloured paper for cheap or buy cheap pencils and markers, because who cares what it will look like, you're just doing to express yourself. I used to be really bad at making pretty spreads (I used to just write about my day and nothing else for the longest time), but now I'm practicing with color and composition and I'm getting better at it.
Tip: keep an eye out for nice designs/nice pieces of paper and keep them to put them in your diary/journal

Anyone can pick up this hobby! Your financial situation or skill level doesn't matter, just have fun
Also, I don't really do lettering or anything and I rarely draw in my dairy. You don't have to make your journal/diary look like everyone else's journal on the internet, just do what you feel comfortable with and what inspires you

I started my journaling 5 months ago, I used my aunt's printer, I had little amount of pictures and stickers but it was really fine I just used printed stickers, idk why many in the comments saying they have bad hand writing, like same sis but I'm improving day by day. Journaling isn't about being pressured and you don't need a lot of money, it's about enjoying time for your self and expressing your creativity.

guys!! you don’t have to be rich to start a journal. start by just getting a notebook and writing. and here’s some cheap ways to get materials!
stickers/washi tape/stationary/ect - aliexpress, dollar stores
photos - walgreens prints are fairly cheap, and if you make a collage of photos and then send them in, you can just cut them out and save even more money.
art supplies - 5Below, dollar stores, walmart.
you can make nice things for not a lot of money, there’s ways, and you don’t need all of this to start, you can collect as you go along!
The thing that hurts me the most is the fact that I can't even print in color :((((((
