The first video is how I found your channel, so I'd say it did well enough to attract the gaze of the ever powerful algorithm... Be not afraid, it has noticed you!
Hugo certainly made a strong first impression. A blue wolf bro zonked out on strange berries chatting up a statue on an island in the middle of the ocean.
Keith I just wanted to say thank you for providing the content you do. I don’t really have anyone I can engage with in regard to this subject or type of content and your channel and personality and comedy has kind of been a life line for me this year. It’s allowed me to explore things I haven’t thought of before and I appreciate you greatly for that.
I like that "idk my bff Jill," a line from a commercial like 20 years ago, has entered the rotation of Keith-isms lately. It gets a giggle out of me every time
I finished the demo, and had a blast so thank you for playing this cause i would NEVER see this game because its out of my range of type of game i played ~
1:53:44 I like how you checked nearly everywhere, except for their house, the one you helped them pick out. ...To be fair, there hasn't been much reason or chance to enter their houses.
Pretty sure this isnt an Apokalypse game but a post-Apokalypse game. Like society collapsed before but this one is built on the ruins. That's why stuff like cruiseships etc still exist I guess
I'm pretty sure Pokee, the spiky, yellow lizard is not male, the character model has feminine eyelashes, so either female or non-binary. Also Fun fact: The characters you find on the nearby islands are randomised not preset. You got really lucky with your finds, they're unique & interesting - I got two with different appearances, a white Rat & a green Bunnycorn but they both have the same 'cuckoolander' personality, which means two of the seven inhabitants of the demo have the exact same dialogue, which gets old...
I never thought I'd be much for cozier, less serious games myself... but my playtime in Stardew Valley suggests otherwise. Maybe we just get more chill and relaxed as we get older? I remember being a hardcore emo punk/jock FPS nerd back in me youth. Now stuff like this is more interesting to me. Though I'm not QUITE sure if this is a Scrooge/Marley situation, because I mean. This is a fun time. I encourage a nice chill game on occasion!
This game doesn't feel post-apocalyptic to me. I'm thinking this is more like renovating a village after a hurricane. At least the island is cozy and the characters are charming. edit: oh, I wasn't expecting a skeleton crushed under a car. That was something else.😬
God I LOVE indie games just for the wild juxtaposition of fun chill furry gathering loop with a literal whole skellington crushed beneath the tire of a car. You just don't get that in big budget titles.
1:28:03 Okay, I was wondering what hurt you around this point, since I didn't catch it during the stream. Going too deep, your health bar gets that icon on the right side. It looks like a snowflake? Must be some kind of temperature system, and the deep water was too cold for you. Might be special equipment for dealing with that in the full version. This game also does the Subnautica thing of the deeper you dive the faster your oxygen meter depletes, which necessitates the scuba tank too. Outside of drowning, which rapidly drains your energy and health bars after your air meter empties, that's the only thing I've seen capable of hurting you so far.
The funniest thing about the dumbbells is that everyone but the jocks use them on my island xD Also Sammi is an absolute bean, a cutie-pie and I'm working my butt off to get him to 10 hearts, but theres not many opportunities cus you can't just randomly shower them with gifts 😔
Honestly surprising how Furry OC all the Tourist/NPCs are coded. Get to show off the character creator, but you'd definitely feel like the Villager from Animal Crossing if you made a human.
I feel like Animal Crossing is *not* a furry game _(series),_ it just tries to appeal to kids by using cutesy animal people but yet you only get to actually play as a human. Whereas Critter Cove is definitely a furry game, it just has the option to play as human to appeal to non-furries.
@@authurstretchygreenthing8464 I haven't seen anyone fully "dissect" the customization feature yet, but I'm curious just how much mix and match-ability there currently is. It'd be interesting to be able to set up neko/kemono-type human avis just to make 'em a little less bland.

@@DustyGamma My firat video of his was back when he wasn't a furry. I saw him slowly become corrupted.

The rest of us can only aspire to Hugo's chad energy.

For real. Nobody at work, not any of my neighbors. It's nice to have little spots like this. I don't connect with anyone near me at all.

I wonder if this is a "animal people appeared after the apocalypse" setting like Splatoon or if they always existed.

Fairly sure Pokee was referred to as female when they first showed up in the last vid.
@@lordofuzkulak8308 She's a she by the seashore yeah.
You always manage to show me a game I then can't help but like a lot, and this is one of those. Just wanted you to know.
I got to watch this during the live stream. Now I get to see it for a 2nd time. I can't get too much of this game!
Early access release date was just announced: a week from today, sept 10th.
Gave up on this series halfway through the first episode
But then himbo wolf
Can't say no to himbo wolf

They are lining up outside your house because you aren't wearing any pants

the underwater parts remind me a lot of raft, it added a lot of literal water depth later. now, if only it had anthro character options...
Needs to be on Switch.😊 DO agree it needs sorting ability. By alphabetical order, price to high and low, material.
Titanic and Gilligan's Island be good easter egg for this game
Darn. I really wanted a Russian-named Himbo wolf too. But the critter I got with the Jock personality ended up being a red dragon named Smelt.
35:20 Yeah you make the sand castle by slotting the sand dollars together like k'nex.
That "Jan Mulder" comment fuckin' sent me.

You'd also be very boring in my opinion if you made a human.

55:01 - well, it has one at the very least. 🤷🏻♂️
17:59 - at least it doesn’t need to be censored like when Link fails at cooking. 🤷🏻♂️
