My Spotify wrapped up my year and told me I’ve listened to 9,236 minutes of podcasts. Since Nateland is the only podcast I listen to, I had to laugh out loud when Spotify congratulated me by saying, “way to quench your thirst for knowledge”. Nateland is the best educational podcast out there. Keep up the great work, and thanks for making Wednesdays the funniest day of the week!
Always love a good Nate rant. I completely agree with Nate on the difference between violence and "the other stuff" in entertainment. The actor Neal McDonough said it best: when "killing" someone on screen, he goes home knowing that did not really happen, but if he's intimate with someone on screen, he goes home knowing that actually happened. There is a difference, especially for the actors. Looking forward to all the entertaining, family-friendly content from Nateland Entertainment. Keep up the great work!
Don't you think it's sad that people rather would put out some virtual violence than watch love and kindness. What's so bad getting home knowing 2 or more people connected in an intimate way...
I really respect Nate. His take on the unneccessary girls taking clothes off in shows, and also his refusal to cuss in projects he's in... that's rare. Much respect to you Nate
Agree 100%. I know the show he's referring to and I also liked the premise, but there was one dad/daughter scene where a line said by the daughter to the dad absolutely disgusted me. Took me completely out of the show and I thought 'this was written for creeps. Period'. And Nate's right. It's not even about being Christian. It's about just being decent. Not everything needs to be seen or said.
I respect Nate even more after that last conversation on his stand on cursing and pornographic tv shows like Landman. I’ve never seen or heard of Landman before but after the way he described what he doesn’t like about it I’m in total agreement of that type of “entertainment”. It’s not needed to make something enjoyable to watch. It’s so refreshing that he is trying to put out movies and shows that doesn’t have all that garbage in it. I hope he succeeds and I will be a lifelong supporter of any of the content he puts out. I’m sure there are millions of people that would too. Keep up the great work Nate!!
Love this podcast for so many reasons. The guys are hilarious, the guests are hilarious (so much so that having repeat guests never feels disappointing), Nate’s ability to be highly decorated but genuinely humble is unparalleled. I’ve been a follower of this podcast since covid times. Had my first kid during the heart of covid and that was a harrowing experience but this podcast made the time a touch more light and enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
I have watched them all a couple or more times and many a whole lot of times. I have told everyone to watch / listen. Some friends never did and NOW they say, “this is the guys and podcast you told me about a few years ago?!” They are shocked I actually had TASTE in a quality podcast! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Breakfast as a live action Charlie Brown is one of the most spot on ideas I’ve ever heard. nateland entertainment has the power - PLEASE make this happen. Dusty as Pig Pen, Aaron as…Schroeder (?), Nate as…Linus.
I am so honored to now have FOUR comments read on the podcast. I feel like I’m part of the BANDP! (I added the P for me…but it doesn’t quite work) No lie, my parents toyed with naming me “Oma Goodness.” I am very glad they didn’t. I have never liked Paul, thought, until this episode.
Hey Nate, to help with the food thing, try to imagine willpower as a muscle. The more you work it out, the stronger it becomes. Next time you want to doordash a junk food, make yourself wait 30 minutes. If after those 30 minutes you still really want it, go for it. But I found after waiting I rarely wanted the food. This success then builds on itself, and you gain stronger willpower to resist these cravings. You could even tell yourself that you’re working out your willpower, making a deliberate effort like you’re in the gym.
Just bought a single ticket to see you in Orlando by myself. I can’t afford to buy two tickets and I didn’t want to wait to consult someone else. I just got one for me & I can’t wait!❤
Can we get an episode on survival skills? What skill/s do you believe you would bring to the table and what skills would your cohosts bring? Also, do y’all believe you could compete in shows like Survivor, Race to Survive, and/or Amazing Race? Love the pod! Could we get decal/sticker merch?
If we’re doing reviews, I’ll give this episode four stars. Really liked the football review and the conversation about over saturation in the media. As much as I do love y’all’s silliness, I also appreciate some forward thinking processes expressed out loud. I think you guys gave some good insight into acting.
I love what you're trying to produce Nate. Don't let anyone talk you out of it or discourage it. I grew up a pastor's kid with no tv in the house and ten years into our marriage, my husband became a pastor. (He was a football nut so we DID have a tv, several tvs in the house.) I have seen only the first 30 minutes of lots of movies, comic specials, etc bc we turned it off or walked out of the theater due to the language or sexual content. Whenever I've seen great movies without any of that, my reaction is "See?? It CAN be done!!" Movies don't need all that stuff to be great, and it expands the viewing audience when you don't include it. I can't wait to see the result of your work and vision. It'll be amazing!
I can see every movie made by Nateland -- at the quarter, half and 3 quarters points in the movie, it cuts over to Aaron, sitting in the Nateland studio -- telling me to go get a Mountain Dew, call rocket money or get on Better help. I'm so excited to see you coming to Lincoln Nebraska -- that is an awesome Arena. I hope to see you there next year!
I love the irony of Nate consistently saying that he's going to slow down from touring in the new year and then BAM a 2025 World Tour! I am definitely not against the decision though. Can't wait to see you live again! Love the podcast too! Still waiting for that Nateland theme park!
Me and a friend were recently reminiscing on Piggly Wiggly green back stamps and booklets-- I can still taste the adhesive you had to lick on the back of the stamps 😅
On the subject of not wanting cursing in the roles you would accept (which I think is great), I had this scene come into my head, but regarding love scenes. I think there's a famous actor who won't kiss a woman who is not his wife, and I can imagine, if Nate felt the same, that an audition could go like this: Director: "Mr. Bergatze, you do realize this is a ROMANCE movie, which naturally would involve a lot of romantic physical contact with the other person"? Nate: "How about instead of kissing, we just shake hands a lot? Wouldn't that convey the same idea"? 🤣 Great podcast. Glad I heard Jon Reep mention it in one of his social media posts.
I love that Nate and John are so southern that as they’re listing out names with one syllable and they included Bryan. Definitely a two syllable name. Love the podcast!
My Spotify Unwrapped just dropped and it’s so unfair that it doesn’t show Nateland as #1 Pod! But UA-cam Nateland is the best! I don’t care what Spotify says, God knows my heart.
So excited about the new tour! Right when I saw the announcement I bought tickets for the Milwaukee show. My wife and I are pumped to see you again Nate 😁 God Bless!!
Hello Dudes!! My family and I love the show. You guys make our days and we tune in to just about everything we can find. My wife and I just bought our boys tickets to see you in Evansville, IN in June. Again, we love the content and thanks for being clean. Means a lot to us. Much love!! God bless!!
Back in 2022 y’all read one of my comments about the World Cup episode. I was super geeked about that btw. In that post I said that the crew should come do comedy in Qatar, which is where I live. Now I see that Nate has a tour date in Dubai, which is just a 40 minute flight from Doha…Nate come to Qatar!!!! I’m not super connected but I do know ppl who know ppl and I would do whatever I could to help make it happen coordination wise…like for real! I’d totally pop over to Dubai to see Nate but I’ve got three kids ages 4 and under so that’s a pipe dream if there ever was one 🤦🏾♀️
My parents had the same perspective as Nate on violence vs. nudity because the violence is fake. In my moms words, "they all get up and have coffee together after the scene is over," but there's no way to fake naked. She took it a little too far, though. My family watched movies like Glory and Psycho together when I was eight. Whether the actors get up and have coffee afterward or not, as a kid you can't unsee that. She rented a terrifying Halloween movie once, and afterward my sister and I weren't about to go to our own rooms to bed so we got in her bed and the three of us ended up watching Leno until we could finally fall asleep.
i was working in a company that everyone swore, even tho it was prohibited. I've never swore. at that job there was a guy who noticed i didn't swear. i was pretty proud that someone actually noticed.
After Aaron said he had a freezer full of BBQ I had to go back to when he picked up Reep's BBQ sauce bottle. You can see all the frozen meats running through his head as he stares at it for a few seconds.
1975, my dad drove from Lafayette Indiana to Portland Tennessee with my 3 brothers in the bed of our truck, topper on, a twin mattress and a lawn chair, in case they wanted to sit with their head cocked off to the side😂, due to hitting their head on the roof of the topper, in the middle of July. Classic Hilljack move! Susie Williams
My sister and I rode in the back of a topper- covered truck for many a childhood vacation. We had some carpet back there and a couple pillows. Lol. We had a walkie-talkie to let mom and dad know how we were doing. Different time. (From Kansas)
I like the New Nateland logo! 70s Nic at night vibe, but with a tic tic twist. I'll have to admit when Nate mentioned the change a while ago he did a poor job of explaining it, so I thought it sounded dumb. But now I see what he was talking about. For a comedian Nate sure does sure with his words
Still super hard to wake up, but this quote helps me: “At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: 'I have to go to work - as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I’m going to do what I was born for - the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?'” - Marcus Aurelius (Meditations, Book 5, Section 1)
Hello folks 👋John was absolutely right. I live in Ohio and after a certain number of DUIs the BMV requires that person to have yellow license plates for a couple years. Everyone in Ohio calls them “party plates” 😂 love this show and all you guys
Im new to the podcast. My wife and I laughed so hard at the SNL skits where Nate plays George Washington so then we started watching the comedy specials and now suddenly I realize there's been a whole podcast going for like over four years. I am up to episode 5 and love it but jumped ahead to make a comment. I will say I never heard of any of the other hosts. Just listened to the doppleganger show. I googled the Matt guy just to see his who he is and the whole internet only shows one photo where Weber is smiling and wearing a blue carhart t shirt with a light blue background. I see Post Malone. I know this is probably old to the podcast but just my two cents. Like maybe Post before he got face tattoos. Has Weber ever thought of getting face tattoos just for fun? Love the Podcast.
I recently ordered DoorDash for my husband and I from two different places. Two different drivers were assigned and they showed up at the exact same time! We could hear them talking about it they approached the door.
I always enjoy the acting done by guys who do not watch football when they try to participate in conversation with guys who absolutely live to watch football every weekend. It’s very interesting to watch/listen to.
Can’t believe BartlesandJames didn’t come up with the name Shirley for the Goodness family. Shirley Goodness and Mercy, will follow me… Also, Nate, thanks for talking about your struggle with food. Keep us updated on what you’re doing - similar problems here. Thanks, guys!
Love the idea of Nate making a movie starring Bates as a cartel member. I picture Bates as an accidental bad boy, one character might complain about him, but it would come off as jealousy while everyone else sees him as a tough, skilled guy, like Liam Neeson. Bates would be Mr. Bean like. 😂
Such a fan of everything nateland. Nate never disappoints when reading. Southern California somehow came out as South Carolina. I was so confused how it took them 4 days to go from South Carolina to Asheville North Carolina! Let's go folks
Dude, glad you wrote this. I heard the same thing, and was so confused. It only takes me a little over an hour to get to Asheville from my home in SC. 😂
I love that when listing single-syllable names that would go well with the last name “Goodness,” Jon Reep said “Brian.” Only a true southerner that pronounces it “Brine” would think that’s a one-syllable name
This is the husband of Erin Ward-Mahajan. You thought my last name was tough, good luck saying my first name! Also, after moving closer to Nashville, we had planned to see more of the Nateland crew. But I guess we’ll have to skip bada bing bada boom’s easier to drive tour, given that the Mahajans are not welcome there!
Regarding movies and TV shows, John Piper says something like, ‘I know the violence is fake. I know the language is fake. But the nudity is always real.’
It seems almost every week now, Nate goes into a long exposition on the goals of Nateland Entertainment and justifying its artistic decisions. You don’t have to explain anymore. We get it. You’re allowed to do whatever you want. Whatever you’ve been doing is working. We’re on board and here for it! Just do your thing babygirl.
@@Bro_Montano To Nateland, we are your fans and we all are behind you and trust whatever decisions you all make. It has been fun to watch you grow for the past almost 5 years. 👍🏼
I love that Nate doesn’t want to curse and sticks to his guns about it. Taylor Sheridan has a show out called Lioness that is doing well. Jill Wagner who plays a part in it took him the idea for the show and he ran with it. Jill Wagner is usually in Hallmark feel good movies. She is a Christian and it was a shock to see her now in Lioness with the F word being said by her. A lot! She cut all of her long locks off and physically trained for two years to play a muscular lesbian in this show. It’s just so different than what we usually see her in. She said “I don’t write them, I just do what I’m told.” I like that Nate won’t do what he is uncomfortable with. I personally don’t think all the cursing is necessary. Thanks for being true to yourself, Nate.
Can we open the discussion again about what to do with the table? It needs a label/signage or lazy susan or something on it. I’m watching from UA-cam on my tv and the blank table is half of my screen. Shinning so bright
OMG!! I am a devoted fan and have had the pleasure, privilege of having my comments read twice!!! And you didn’t even mess up my name!!! ❤So weird how accurate your pronunciation and intuition of me was!!! My last name is my ex husband’s but since he left me with three young sons I didn’t change it for their sakes. I also liked the aliteration, plus my maiden name is Rennie, HRH-her royal highness🤣😂🥹!!! I used to drive a Camry but wrecked it and had it repossessed!!! I do have duis but am now a grandmother and behaving myself. I currently am driving my fathers old Saturn, he died of Covid in 2020 at 93 years old. I have been described as a handful and have embraced it! I ❤that you also have a very different perspective and embraced it!!!❤❤❤❤
@ 🤣not yet but I am looking for a stick shift truck which doesn’t have any electric horseshit!!! Roll up windows, etc!😂. So honored to receive your reply after having my comment read!!! Thank you for the laughs 😊
@Aaron, Basketball Card story for you that I think you'll appreciate. I'm helping my dad sort through his collection and we found a Larry Bird card that recently sold for ~$15,000. Apparently my step-mom is a big LB fan and wanted to keep it, but my dad is trying to liquidate. She took it to work in her purse, photo copied it and brought it home. That's all she wanted to do with the card. I was dumbfounded and angry all at the same time. There is a photocopied sheet of paper of a Larry Bird card taped to the wall at my step-mom's office.
My family used to take me and my stepbrother everywhere in the bed of a pickup truck with a camper shell on top, we went from NC to Florida and NC to Indiana. All we had were portable CD players and an air mattress.
Nateland's version of Mystery Science Theater 3000 is my new favorite show of all time. Wait, actually, Charlie Brown Bates is my new favorite show of all time. Either way, I'm getting nothing done.
Nate could do a cosplay of Dan Lanning, coach of the Oregon football team, could easily sneak through security and destroy their chances in the playoffs on the sideline.
1:10:54 -- Nateland lore seems to add phrases every week. Nate’s casual use of “we’re see” instead of “we’ll see” is something that I typically wouldn’t notice as I’ve gotten used to vernacular, but it was so grammatically outrageous that I had to rewind to hear it again. Makes me wonder how many red underlines are in the Word Doc for Nate’s book showing the grammar/spelling errors. “We’re see” if those errors make it to final print (I really hope so)!
Nate: "I don't have to be everywhere." I turn on my Waze. "Have Nate Bargatze tell you how to get where you're going." Ok then. Now I have Nate interrupting his own podcast to tell me there's an accident ahead, and now I'm irrationally mad at him because I'm an hour late for work.
I totally understand this logic about over exposure. My kids would confirm this theory…they are so tired of Snoop Dogg! He was everywhere at the Olympics, he’s on the voice, and in commercials. When they see him they moan, “I’m so tired of Snoop Dogg!!!” 😂 And keep in mind they still don’t really know who he is or what he does, they are just tired of him being in everything 😂
We used the Flush app in NYC. It told us the Microsoft store had a public toilet. But I don’t think it was actually a public toilet because we got dirty looks when we were coming out of the restroom. Lol
It’s pretty great to be driving in the car listening to the podcast and Nate’s complaining about food then all of a sudden his Waze voice tells me he’s hungry.
OMG! I Door Dash to my hotel room all the time!! It’s the best! And I have been known to watch the Dasher through the peep hole as they deliver. Also, I take an Ambien, but always after I have eaten.
The dynamic of this podcast has completely changed. Bummer. It feels like the small local restaurant that was once amazing, who then decides to “go big” and the food is never the same again. Been “bellied up”’ at the Nateland diner since the very beginning- but I think Im ready to give up my stool.
@ First, thank you for seeking feedback-it’s appreciated. My comments are less about a specific episode and more about recent changes since the move to the new studio. To put it simply, I feel there are too many guests on the podcast lately. This isn’t a critique of the guests themselves, but rather the impact on the format. For me, the main draw of the show has always been the incredible chemistry among the core cast. While I know Dusty joined later (episode 100), the dynamic you all share is what keeps me coming back. Even when Nate or Dusty can’t be there, episodes featuring just three of you still feel more cohesive and engaging. It’s like listening to a great band where each member plays a distinct role, creating something truly unique together. Adding extra “musicians” changes the groove. Additionally, when guests are present, it often feels like the focus shifts to them-as though they’re the centerpiece of the episode. In these instances, some of the organic, hilarious and entertaining contributions from you, Aaron, Dusty, get dialed back, if not completely eliminated - which sucks. To sum it up, I’d compare recent change to when Coca-Cola replaced Coke Classic with New Coke. While some say it was better, it disrupted what made the original so great. In this case, less is more. Returning to the core cast of four-or sticking with three when schedules don’t line up (mostly for Nate) -would bring back that “classic” Nateland feel. Thank you for all the work you put into the podcast, and I hope this feedback is helpful!
While I agree with Tom’s general sentiment, this episode was pretty dang good! Thanks Brian for all of the work you do putting these episode’s together. I know a lot of it goes unnoticed by the public but to me you and Aaron are the glue that keeps this chaotic (and thoroughly enjoyable) mess together!
My Spotify wrapped up my year and told me I’ve listened to 9,236 minutes of podcasts. Since Nateland is the only podcast I listen to, I had to laugh out loud when Spotify congratulated me by saying, “way to quench your thirst for knowledge”.

I bet this comment gets read on the next episode 🎉
Dang! Nice job. I only had 5,763 minutes of Nateland
The fact that there’s a picture out there of Aaron looking at a door dasher through the blinds is UNBELIEVABLE!!
Lol 28:58 Must have been in another room during that part. Had to go back and find it after seeing your comment 😂

His daughter is going to marry a decent man ❤
I like that nate is trying to bring back family entertainment in a clean format.

This was a good and fun episode! Nate was on a roll, and also quite nice to Breakfast in this one. Jon fits right in too.

So ready for Nateland theme park! Nateland Resort & Hotel...with the Nateland tram...Nateland Safari...Let's go!
@@KellyRaeRussell I would go right now!
But will Nateland have a mascot? An emu maybe, or a PANGwin?
@@djj.86 Definitely a PANGwin! I don't think an emu with a gun is very family-friendly. There's no telling what that emu is capable of.
Not sure if it was on purpose or not, but Breakfast saying that he was 'licking' stamps adds another layer of old to that joke. 😂

Jon reep is having a GREAT TIME! I'm immediately on board with him 😂
i was working in a company that everyone swore, even tho it was prohibited. I've never swore. at that job there was a guy who noticed i didn't swear. i was pretty proud that someone actually noticed.
This all makes me respect you EVEN MORE than ai already do...and I'm so appreciative of your integrity. Thank you, Nate...from. Forever Fan!
Just bought my tickets for Big Dumb Eyes!!
Nate saying he doesn’t want to be everywhere then proceeds to announce he’s on Waze. He will now be following me everywhere.
Is this @Aaron’s burner account? 😂 Nice quote :)
Hello folks 👋John was absolutely right. I live in Ohio and after a certain number of DUIs the BMV requires that person to have yellow license plates for a couple years. Everyone in Ohio calls them “party plates” 😂 love this show and all you guys
I can't help but see Nate's pic behind him with the red tablecloth being superman and seeing Eminem 😂
Love this episode!!
Dusty! Don’t leave! We need conspiracy theories & biblical advice! And we need to be having a good time!
I can't wait for the book.
I recently ordered DoorDash for my husband and I from two different places. Two different drivers were assigned and they showed up at the exact same time! We could hear them talking about it they approached the door.
Excited for the new tour! I’m hoping you come back to Australia! I moved from USA to Australia on the day you performed in Sydney
I always enjoy the acting done by guys who do not watch football when they try to participate in conversation with guys who absolutely live to watch football every weekend. It’s very interesting to watch/listen to.
I also find it hard to believe Nate is writing a book. If he said I got a coloring book coming out, I would believe that.
Can’t believe BartlesandJames didn’t come up with the name Shirley for the Goodness family. Shirley Goodness and Mercy, will follow me…
Also, Nate, thanks for talking about your struggle with food. Keep us updated on what you’re doing - similar problems here. Thanks, guys!
We need Dusty back, because of the comedy index.
It's gonna feel like a double wide. You know, cuz of the heat index.
Nate, I went to a hypnotherapist in Brentwood for my overeating. It surprisingly helped a lot.
Is it just me, or is Nate looking like he’s rocking a monk robe in that brown sweatshirt?
This is the husband of Erin Ward-Mahajan. You thought my last name was tough, good luck saying my first name!
Also, after moving closer to Nashville, we had planned to see more of the Nateland crew. But I guess we’ll have to skip bada bing bada boom’s easier to drive tour, given that the Mahajans are not welcome there!
The "Be Normal" tour would be a good name for one of Nates' future tours. =]
I believe that the building falling on the silent film actor was Buster Keaton
Regarding movies and TV shows, John Piper says something like, ‘I know the violence is fake. I know the language is fake. But the nudity is always real.’
So excited to see Nate in Greenville SC next year! Would the rest of the crew around upstate SC eventually!
1:29:45 Aaron? Have you been told all of those things already? This breaks my heart buddy.
She said “I don’t write them, I just do what I’m told.”
I like that Nate won’t do what he is uncomfortable with. I personally don’t think all the cursing is necessary. Thanks for being true to yourself, Nate.
Couldn't help, but think about Nate being the next Billy Madison. Back to School...Back to school
We gotta get an episode on cigars so Dusty can tell us what his favorite “sticks” are.
Jimmy K
Nateland should produce the prequel to Breakfasts character in Sprung
I love that idea!
I ❤that you also have a very different perspective and embraced it!!!❤❤❤❤
so you do not drive a Brat. Dang. i was wrong about that one
This is great
I would like to see the nateland gang remake the opening scene of saving private Ryan. But pg-13. Also that “Mai goodness” comment was hilarious!
I was almost Oma. Wife is a three letter M name, tho!
1st movie to be reviewed for Nateland movie review has to be Shawshank Redemption.
Is Nate writing for 9 hours worth about 1 page? I imagine 30 mins of writing and then 8.5 hours of spell check.
My family used to take me and my stepbrother everywhere in the bed of a pickup truck with a camper shell on top, we went from NC to Florida and NC to Indiana. All we had were portable CD players and an air mattress.
Charlie Brown =Brian Bates 🤗😂♥️. That would make a great, great special!
Is it just me, or is it every single time Reep is on the show he and Nate have an extended conversation about food?
1:10:54 -- Nateland lore seems to add phrases every week. Nate’s casual use of “we’re see” instead of “we’ll see” is something that I typically wouldn’t notice as I’ve gotten used to vernacular, but it was so grammatically outrageous that I had to rewind to hear it again. Makes me wonder how many red underlines are in the Word Doc for Nate’s book showing the grammar/spelling errors. “We’re see” if those errors make it to final print (I really hope so)!
I like that Nate’s hypothetical situation was the driver doesn’t like confrontation… so he beats up a guy to avoid talking!? (Interrobang)
WooHoo!! Just got my tickets for Peoria IL.
I'm on the road about 150 nights a year. I door dash all of the time and I do what Aaron does, I meet them in the lobby.
It was Buster Keaton, not Charlie Chaplin, that was most known for his stunts, specifically the falling house scene.
Gosh. Sure missing Dusty. At first I wasn’t sure he’d be a good addition, but now it saddens me when he’s not there. I hope all is well with you guys.
OMG! I Door Dash to my hotel room all the time!! It’s the best! And I have been known to watch the Dasher through the peep hole as they deliver. Also, I take an Ambien, but always after I have eaten.
Jon Reep is the bestttt
The dynamic of this podcast has completely changed. Bummer. It feels like the small local restaurant that was once amazing, who then decides to “go big” and the food is never the same again. Been “bellied up”’ at the Nateland diner since the very beginning- but I think Im ready to give up my stool.
Can you give us any specifics because I thought it was a pretty good episode.
@@tomscontras thanks for the feedback.
Taking education advice from John Reep is wild!
