The stop by the Ref was premature. Yes Anthony Joshua was on his was to win probably by a spectacular knockout but Takam was definitely still in the fight and wasn't completely defeated even though he was losing.I have seen many fighters crawl out of tighter spots to win matches through sheer perseverance, guts and the proverbial lucky punch.
Ridiculous comment. What do you want to see? Brain damage, career ending damage, death in the ring or in hospital after? Takam was getting a massive hammering, taking countless heavy hits to the head from one of the hardest punchers around, and it was getting more and more one sided.
You want the guy dead or brain damaged before you realize he was done?
It was stopped at the right time - the ref is in there to see when enough is enough. Us fans always like to see a full KO in a heavyweight showdown but really there is nothing to be gained from a sporting perspective.
The guys hands were already down. So you want him dead?

Lol. What's the talk about premature stoppage. Takam was assesed 3 times by medics during the bout and he kept on taking those heavy shots he was only on his feet cos he's got a strong chin but nobody want no man dead in the ring. The ref took the best decision for Takam's kids IMO.
I will give AJ his flowers but I’m still not satisfied with his finishing…. Mehn …. I see pity in him towards his opponents…. A great fighter he is

that stop was very premature.
Some of you saying the stop was premature, you are not closer to the boxers than the referee. There is no way you be such miles away and see the damage in Takam's eyes. If it had continued, Takam may hard time with those eyes after the fight, plus some fractured tissues. Let us just say that, the ref saw what many of us couldn't see.
