- In today’s video, I will be styling my 1 year old’s hair using Aunt Jackie’s Knot Havin’ It leave-in Ultimate Detangling Moisturizer and Blue Magic Organics Castor Oil. I really love Aunt Jackie’s Girls’ line. It makes her type 4 natural hair very soft, manageable and easier to detangle. I also like using the castor oil hair grease because it makes her hair look very shiny and polished. Thank you so much for watching and please don’t forget to subscribe! See you next time!

Thank you so much... My daughter is one with the same kind of hair. I can never find a video that actually relates to us. Usually the kids are older or the hair is a different texture. Love Love love.
Thank you so much, Millennial Mindsetter! That's exactly why I started this channel! 💖
Yyuiuo
Did this style with a little razzle dazzle twist bangs in the front. Thank you! Your channel is still giving 6 years later.
Thank you so much! This baby will be 8 next month...😭 We'll be back soon. ❤️
I love this because I been struggling trying to find styles for my baby hair.
Yes Aunt Jackie’s works wonders on my babies and my hair
Thank you for sharing I’m trying this hairstyle on my baby girl now 😊
Love this, I will do for my 2 year old baby girl! I'm excited, Thank you
thanks I'm definitely gonna try this on my three year old I just love watching your videos keeping doing a great job
Thank you, Kaybug! =)
Thank you for sharing bc I send these to my daughter it's her first girl
OMG...I didn't think I will find a video like this. Thanks for making this video...I will be doing my 19 months old daughter's hair tomorrow for the first time. she looks so unkept because I don't know what to do with her hair as she hates me touching it. Her is very dry so it is painful to comb. I am grateful to watch this video.
I'm so glad this video was helpful to you! My daughter doesn't like to get her hair combed either. What helps me a whole lot is, I never comb through dry hair. I moisten the hair with water, a cream based moisturizer, then an oil, then slowly comb through it from the ends working my way up. Also, I always detangle while conditioning (after washing). I'm going to attempt to do a "wash day" routine video very soon! =)
I did quick pony tail style this morning. Her hair is still very short and she refuses to let me touch her hair. It was not easy but I did it. I use aloe vera gel and olive oil as moisturizer.
Shes doing so good , my 2 yr old will never sit so still, where you live at so you can do my baby hair cause she usually goes in a fro lol i cant bother with the fight
LOL!!! She usually doesn't sit that still. I had to pull all sorts of tricks...food, toys, TV. Thanks so much for watching! =)
The video I have been searching for! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching. ❤
She is being a "BIG girl" too! Awwh! It's so much easier when their hair is moisturized tho isn't it? lol
I love this. I have a daughter and Idk how to hair lol. So this was great
I love your hairstyles and they are so cute on different hair types, thank you so much 😊
You're so welcome, Ci Ci! =)
Very cute! My one year old does the same thing, with the subtle head movements like "get outta my head mama lol! New subbie!
LOL!!! Thank you! Yeah, we have to fight every time I do her hair. That's why I try to come up with styles that last several days. 🙂
Thank you so much my daughter is hair challenged and i needed a good style for her🥰
and her hair is very pretty
Thanks! 🙂
Thank you doing this today love the hair styles on their hair
Lovely will do this for my daughter this week
Thank you for this ive been searching for some tutorials I appreciate you
What kind of elastics did you use to secure her hair? I am a foster mom to a 1 year old who has been with me for about 2 months. I'm learning and practicing protective styles and this one is such a pretty one. Thank you!
I used the small black rubber bands but you can use any elastic or hair tie you want. The black rubber bands can cause breakage to the hair if not taken out properly...just fyi. I make sure when using rubber bands that I don't put them in too tight and when I'm ready to take the style down, I cut the bands out with scissors. Thank you so much for watching! =)
Thank you so much for this video!, what a beautiful girl!!
Too cute!
i love your channel my daughter is 4 and same kind of hair and with your video i can make her look nice
This is a life saver. I have curly hair but it isn’t type 4 and I have no idea what to use to keep it neat for more than a day. 😭😭😭
Its so funny, i bought the exact same items today for my girl's hair. Are you still using these?
Yes, these are still my "go-to" products. =)
Thank you,I never know what to do or which products are ok for my 2yr. old bc she has type4 great wrk.And thanx for the verse.
Thanks a lot trying this on my little princess.
Do you have a name or link for the cotton hair tassles in her hair?
Lmao my baby runs too when its time to comb! Will definitely try this!
Good Job its was very helpful to me
im going try do my baby hair dis way 👍👍👍😎💜
I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you!
You give me so much inspiration watching your videos. They have helped me so much when trying to style my 2yr & 5yr girls...esp when I'm not great at it.
I'm going to try these aunt jackies products for my girls...they both have thick tight hair. Do you still recommend these for moisture? Also, do u think the product "knot on my watch" is the same as " knot having it"?
I have found the 1st one was cheaper...
Yes, I still love Aunt Jackie's. I've never tried Knot on My Watch but I'm sure it will work just as well. =)
I like the hairstyles
Love it. Thank you
Thank you
what do you do to get her style to last that long?
I typically just brush it up everyday (her edges) to keep it looking presentable. That's it!
Thank you God bless you
Hey im struggling with mu 10month olds hair ! Can i use these products on her or should i wait till she is one ? Imilk defintly be doing this hairstyle!!
I started using products on my babies' hair once their hair started to look like "real" hair. Journey was about 8 months when I started trying out products. =)
Which gel can i use for my baby's hair she is 22 months old
I used Taliah Waajid Style & Shine. It's not a gel though. It's a smoothing cream. I've also used Eco Style Olive oil gel (if you don't mind "crunch") or Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls (for a softer hold).
@@NaturallyTiffany thanks
Goodnight . My daughter hair is very thick n i want to know what's the best product I can use to moisturize her hair . She 11 months old and as she gets bigger I want to know what I can use to treat her hair as well plz
For moisture, I typically use the L.O.C. method (liquid (water), oil, cream). I layer products for moisture retention. My go-to moisturizer/oil combo for her hair is Aunt Jackie's Knot Havin' It and olive oil (or coconut oil) or Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Butter Cream and olive oil. =)
this is lovely, please can know the name of those creme you used for ur daughter heir ,because my daughter heir is very long but na the heir is cuting
Hi, Otalo! I used Aunt Jackie's Knot Havin' It Leave-in Conditioner and Blue Magic Organics Castor Oil. Also, I started out on damp hair.
very beautiful can you use this on a three year old with thick dry hair and can the leave in detangler be used as a moisturizer
Absolutely! The detangler is very moisturizing. I usually put an oil on top of it as a sealant.
Naturally Tiffany can i put jojoba oil as a sealant do you use the castor oil grease as a sealant and can i use the nature blessings grease as a sealant
My bg move so much
Journey moves a lot too. I've learned to be extremely patient. =)
I need suggestions: my 1 yr old has lint or reside from the product in her hair. What can I use on same hair type but way thicker?
You can try a dry shampoo like, DevaCurl No-Poo Decadence or the DevaCurl Build-Up Buster (I've never used either one of these products personally but I've heard good things about it). Let me know if you give it a try! www.devacurl.com/buildup-buster.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA3dTQBRDnARIsAGKSflkO9gV0eBGuLU7bm6_tCLysH_3yr4u6bntxu2oSCQYSZnYEwrdkX20aAp6IEALw_wcB
Waoh this so great. Must try.
Love your video I can relate with it.my baby's hair is bald on at the back.what do I do? She will be one soon.
Keep her hair moisturized and have her sleep with a satin bonnet on at night or when she's napping. If she won't tolerate the bonnet, buy some satin crib sheets. Also, pure Jamaican black castor oil is great for promoting hair growth and is a great moisture sealant. You could also try aloe vera gel (as a pre-poo) which is also known to stimulate hair growth. I also used a product called Baby Don't Be Bald on my other daughter and saw results pretty quickly. However, if you prefer natural products, I wouldn't use this. Hope this helps! =)
Thank you very much, will do the needful
Hey,
My son has thick thick hair at the age 4.
I have been searching for a good hair product to stick for my son hair until I came across Aunt Jackies for kids. My cousin said it a good product but I like stick to one product and purchase the whole line. I would like to know is this is best for results of curls, moisture, and stick to product for my son hair? His godmother keep his hair braided and want to know as well what type of moisturizer to use and scalp oil befor she does it?
Yes, Aunt Jackie's is a good product. I use the Knot Havin' It Moisturizing Detangler the most. I have a 10-year-old that has ridiculously thick hair (I've never seen hair so thick). I use that along with an oil (Camille Rose Ultimate Growth Oil, even though he really doesn't need to grow anymore hair, but it smells nice and it's very moisturizing) to tame his curls. For the scalp, nothing works better (for me) than a grease or heavy pomade (Blue Magic). =)
Can you tell me what the auntie jackies custard is used for i see you use grease
I don't use the custard but, I think it's a curl definer. =)
@@NaturallyTiffany so would you suggest the leave in detangler kids moisturizer by auntie jackie thats pink in the bottle for ponytails
sooo pretty she's a cutie pie my baby girl is 8 months and has very thick hair but i dont no here hair type can i ise the same line of products on her hair as u r using i was thinking maybe a lil to heavy
Thank you so much! I think it's definitely worth a try. The products aren't very heavy at all and they leave the hair smelling soooo good. There's many products to choose from in the Aunt Jackie's Girls product line. So, I say find ones that will best match your daughter's hair texture. The products I'm using here has worked wonders on my daughter's thick hair. Thanks for watching! =)
4 type hair means kinky
Do you know if the aunt jackies curl custard for doing ponytails with twist or is it just for wash and go
I'm actually not sure. I haven't tried that particular product.
So one question after making her hair and she has a bath do you let water touch the hair.
Not typically. But if it does get wet, I usually just brush it back in place.
So that's like $32 for a whole line of products. Shouldn't take all that for a baby tho! I just use "Its A Miracle" Nature's Oils $30 one big 16oz bottle, and it last a looooong time. Get the hair soft, detangles, and holds moisture very well... not to mention it's a GROWTH spray too. with oils in it...
😂🙄 Girl ok what's $2 more
When can I tell my daughter hair type and son they 7 months
Once they no longer have "baby hair." Meaning once the child's hair begins to change in texture or become thicker. Every child is different. This could happen at 6 months or 3 years...just depends. My daughters are 5 and 7 and their textures are constantly changing. Their hair seems to get thicker with age. Hope this helps! =)
Thanks
When you use the rubber bands, do they tend to bind her hair and leave residue when you take the style down? I have that issue with my daughter's hair, she is also one.
Yes. I haven't found a solution for that yet. I usually pop the rubber band off, comb out the residue and replace with a new band. (Basically, redo the style...lol)
Naturally Tiffany okay and thank you for responding, I usually do the same thing but I guess thats what happens as the style ages
So is that a moisturizer or a detangler the pink stuff can you use this daily as a moisturizer
It's a moisturizing detangler and yes, it can be used daily if needed. =)
Naturally Tiffany so it only needs too be used too detangling the hair i thought it was a moisturizer for dry hair
Can you use this on a 4yr old hair and is the detangling moisturizer a detangler or a moisturizer
Yes, this is good for all ages. It's a detangling moisturizer.
Do u think aunt Jackie moisturize it good ?? My daughter hair sucks up moisture !
I usually use an oil with the moisturizer and I really like it. I also make sure her hair is damp (water is a natural moisturizer) before applying the oil and cream. =)
this is just perfect for my baby , she is a year old ... this is cool cos it easy. nice job😘😘😘😘
Thanks, Cadey! =)
Is the water you using warm or cold
Warm.
How do I keep the rubber bands from popping after i do her hair because my 1 year daughter has some thick hair.
I use the Super Stretch Brand rubber bands (or beauty supply brands). I've never had an issue with them popping off.
@@NaturallyTiffany okay thank you

Ik you tired of me lol. I’m finna wash and try this style on her
I'm not tired of you at all....lol! I love conversing with my subscribers. =)
If i waa doing ponytail which auntie jackies kid product could i use
I would use Aunt Jackie's Knot Havin' It and an oil to seal in the moisture. =)
Naturally Tiffany thank you do you think i could seal it with jojoba oil afterwards
Where can I get the stuff u used on her hair
You can purchase from your local beauty supply store or online. Here's the link: go.magik.ly/ml/6ufx/
How did u get her hair even in the back?
Do you mean how to part her hair evenly? If so, I've had lots of practice. If you mean, how did I get it to grow out evenly; it just grew out that way naturally. =)
How do you maintain it at night?
I don't do much; I just throw a satin bonnet on it and hope for the best...lol.
so cute!
plz what's that spray?
Hey, Pat! It's just water in the spray bottle. =)
Which type of rubber bands do you use? The ones I use usually snaps after a short period
I use the little black ones that come in the red and yellow bag (super stretch). Here's a link so you can see what they look like. I got them from the beauty supply store for less than $1.
Naturally Tiffany thank you
Naturally Tiffany sorry I didn’t see the link
Sorry, forgot to put the link...lol.
