I've been rocking some Thorogoods, and I have been very impressed. I never liked moc toe boots, but these have been great on a residential framing crew. They grab on the roof, and shed mud pretty well.
They are more comfortable than the nikes I wear all summer long! A few cuts and scrapes but the leather has held up, they also have some loggers that look good, if only I could run with a heel!
I had better luck with the Justin commander x5s they where built a little better and the soles where much better, the ariats for me where comfy for the first two months then the soles just fell apart and the shaft was sloppy loose .
Ariat work hog boots made my life miserable, the most horrendous boots to break in! By time you finally get them to stop hurting your feet to the point that you’re sweating in pain....it’s time to buy a new pair. The best part of having these boots was setting those bastards on fire.

I hear good things about that brand. I might Get a pair. I don't care for the mock toe either. But a lot of guys on the site wear them

I bought a pair of Ariat Groundbreakers and they are the farthest thing from a work boot. Look cool but that's about it.
