I'm watching this series again. You have done a great service to us cardstock builders.

Nicely done. I really appreciate the extra details that I would never think of.

This is a great series. A hint - you can make those corner squares easily with LEGO blocks
They are easy to find at yag sales if you don't already have them.

Hi William, thanks for your suggestion! What's great about this "craft" is having different ways to create something... Sorry I didn't respond to your comment sooner. Thanks for watching, Sam

Excellent video. Your model is progressing nicely and I'm learning some tips and tricks to apply to my own models.
I believe the gap between the lean-to and main building walls is a caused by lapping the clapboard siding. One possible cure would be to completely build the lean-to before siding the main building's wall section the lean-to attaches to. You could then mark the outline of the blank lean-to wall on the unfinished main building wall before building up the clapboards. That way the lean-to would sit flush to the main building. I'm not sure if the extra effort would be worth it as what we see close-up on our computer monitors may not be noticeable at normal model viewing distances..
I was a little concerned that the square reinforcements glued to the top of the foundation wall tabs might stand a little too proud, but I couldn't notice it on your finished structure. Personally I would glue them to the underside of the tabs.
Thank you for posting this how-to video. I'm looking forward to more in your series.

Greatly value your suggestions and observations! And, many thanks for watching... Cardstock is the “teacher” ever time LOL. Yes, it would be more effort to attach the lean too walls to the main bldg then add the Lapp siding, but it’s worth a try and to master the “effect”. I’ll give it a try one day soon.... all the best, Sam

Hey Sam, hope you are well! Could you tell me where you found those small red plastic squares ?? Also, when can we expect to see some more content here on your channel? Thank you for these very in depth videos as I’m brand new to the card stock hobby and will be focusing mostly on O stock turn of the century building for my layout!!

Hi Paul, so glad the videos are of help and many thanks for your kind comments! I've been "side tracked" the past few months researching and practicing painting techniques of O scale figures - it's a whole new world for me. And researching building a "modular layout" that I could use a few sections to take to regional train shows/meets to spread the word about CardStock Modeling. And developing my next episode which will show examples/how to design/create interior rooms, also called "shadow boxes" - with lighting. Just sorry that I've been out of the zone in creating recent videos.... Here's the link on Amazon to the "red squares"... All the best, Sam. www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z4RVLLD/?coliid=I22IBA4IFTNZ2A&colid=ZK3EZV76ARC2&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

@@ModelRailroadCardStock Hi Sam! Just to follow up, those positioning squares look like they would be too large to use with HO scale models. Can you confirm my assumption? Keep up the great work, it’s very inspiring!

@@carlsmedberg9408 i believe the squares are 3” X 2”, and a 1/2” thick. So, it will depend on the footprint of the HO building. I would order from Amazon, try them, if the are too large return them. Hey glad you like the videos and many thanks for watching. I’m recording a new episode on making metal corrugated wall & roof panels with printed card stock and using a simple tool to form ridges. Stay tuned! Lol
