Question - How do you access tone, vibrate, or nick from the handheld unit? It looks like the unit has one button that can do one of these things based on settings in the app. What if you need to QUICKLY go from tone to vibrate to nick? This appears to require going to the app and changing the handheld device button settings. What if you need to react quickly in the field to correct a dog that is running away? Seems complicated. Thanks for any feedback!
In four months, I had two collars that completely stopped working and a connector that stopped working. I have a big hunting coonhound and it's a good thing there are plenty of coon where I'm hunting or who knows what would have happened to my dog. FYI, this system drains phone battery in one to two hours. You better have a way to charge your phone while in the field. Also, on my fourth system, the compass won't work while tracking. Customer service is being rude and confrontational now and tell me to get a new cell phone. Said buy an iPhone. So, bought an iPhone and still not working. I can go on and on but will stop here. IMO, this system is absolutely worthless if a person can't trust it to work. Good luck to you
Wow! Mine last 12 hours easy..I lose rf frequency when I get about 2 miles down the road at 60mph..but I actually just ordered another collar...so I can train my friends dog too! Ya puts
@jw7037 I'm sorry, but there's no way your phone last 12 hours while using this system. I use an S8 tablet and the battery is close to dead in three hours. Three different phones, a tablet, and they all last about same time. Let me guess, you must be selling dogtra junk
@stevemulligan9358 haha I'm far from a salesman..I do always have new phones though..only because I break them..not because I like buying them or expensive dog collars..but mine must just be a unicorn I even use my phone with Bluetooth headphones while my dog app runs in the back s23u
@stevemulligan9358 I can say my complaint so far is that my connecter wanders on the map..not far but far enough to be out of my yard that's in town...so if I was to use geo fence it would constantly tell me she is out of range when it's actually just the connector wandering but I don't use that feature so lucky me
I had 4 different dogtra 2 systems in 4 months. Two collars completely stopped working while in use. On the third one, the hand held connector stopped working. On the 4th one, the compass doesn't work. I was laughed at by a customer service representative when I asked for a refund. When it did work it burned your phone battery up in 2 hours. I have a big hunting dog and lucky I'm in plenty of coon or who knows if I would have found my dog. IMO, buy a Garmin, you'll save money in the long run
Steve, we're very sorry about your experience. Like anything new, they had a lot of issues when they first came out. We are seeing for less now. I wish we had of done business on this, we'd of made it right. If you ever need anything, give us a holler!
Thank you for your reply. Nineteen days ago, the head of customer service at dogtra said to give him two days to get back with me, I told him don't forget and he said he would definitely get back with me. Told to get a new up graded phone, that didn't work. Told iPhone would work so got one for the wife, downloaded the app and still not working properly. Buy the time I've spent driving to hunt and dogtra not working to buying new phones that didn't work I would have saved money buying a Garmin. They may have their problems but I know many that have Garmin and swear by them. Besides that, dogtra eats up phone battery if it ever works at all
I learned a lot about this new system. Thank y’all for doing it!
Can you set up a small e fence without the dog accidentally getting shocked?

Great video! CUT 'EM LOOSE!!! We just did a tutorial on E-Fence if anyone is interested in learning more.
E fence was my main motivation for ordering where do I find this video?
What if you lose cell service or have poor connection
Does that system come in the mini version
I was wondering after 6 months of use what types of issues have you had or any.
