Hello Monika, about Affect version and Fixed version. I understand hat affect version means the versions which are affected by specific issues where as Fixed version is the version which is predicted version in which concern issue is going to be fixed. Correct me if I am not. If so then my question is what is the basic intension or use to specifically mentioning about this two types in JIRA.
Hi Nilesh, Yes, You are right, you got the correct understanding. The basic intention of mentioning these 2 types of versions in JIRA is to identify and track the bugs correctly.
I am unable to see Affect version, I am practicing on free account on cloud . Is it due to the free Jira account or Jira have removed the affect version option from the interface?? And thanks for sharing such an awesome course for newcomers like me.
I didn't find any specific difference between labels and components as both are being used to group and search issues. Can you put some differences here ?
Thank you for your work. Maybe you could help me with adding a component tab to my project. I couldn't find the components tab in my project. It is a test project and I didn't change anything in the base settings. Used the kanban and scrum templates.
From what I understand versions and releases, it sounds like I can save all my issues from a fiscal year to a version(fixed) and release it. A version is a vehicle that archives your data(issues), which can be recalled. Is this statement true?

you can remove by clicking the issue in the backlog view and it will open a view details side window in the right side where you can remove the versions from any issue types(tasks, story, etc)

Sadly no components in next gen projects.
Yeah Components do not exist in Next-Gen projects :(
