Thanks for not skipping my post 😂 (the Luca board). I swapped the trucks out for Scythes. Turns much better now. Also got normal griptape. I don't care what you have to say about the taper. The shape looks sick. 😂
I love these videos. I feel like they're actually educational, and entertaining! I have a video suggestion... Would you ever consider doing a longboarding in the winter video? Thoughts & tips on dealing with salt/road grit/water from snow melt, wheel considerations, protecting & cleaning your gear, etc. Either way, love the content! 🤘
I’ll think about what advice I’d give for a winter skating video. I don’t know if there’s enough material there to justify a video, but you’ve got me thinking.
Hey! I’m Camilo, the guy from the second review on the video. Thank you for dropping milestones to my set ups (😂). Okay, both grip tapes are not longboard grip tapes, they are from hardware stores we are able to get down here in Colombia and these ones last longer, no matter how many times you ride it on a rainy day, these industrial grip tapes will last a long time. these grip tapes are hard to paste and cut off cause it is a harder material. most of riders here hate vicious, Madrid and stuff like that cause they are real poor quality, after a rainy day, grip is gone and those longboard grip tapes are more expensive for us. And based on these two boards, I know configuration looks pretty similar, but I use Rayne board with seismic and zealous for fast freeride and zenit for downhill, seismic wheels are slider than venom for me, and zealous are kind of free hill truck in my opinion. Believe me, I’ve used golden rogues a lot, but they are newer than zealous, that’s why. I never changed washers cause they arrived like that and never felt uncomfortable by doing downhill, maybe cause I don’t weigh too much or something like that, but thank you for the advice on the front truck, I’m gonna try that option
Astute observation by Abuga about my bushings, those are 84a Seismics in the front truck, though now there's a Riptide 87.5a Krank roadside. I did ditch the 88 bushings for 93a/90a Venoms already. 100% agree that they ride softer than their stated duro. I'm a very light rider at about 125ish lbs. as well.
I haven’t tried it or seen one in person, but if it matches the specs you want in a board then I trust that Rocket did a good job designing it. Go for it!
Hey! My old videos are in the underrated video of the month! Thanks wrongboarding!
Yew, shredding
I appreciate both of you. I could not have gotten my setup right and got started without you both.
oh cool, two of my all time favourite downhill longboarder youtubers together in this awesome colab

Also Rick Allen sold me that deck with Jessup on it, so blame him for that.

I take personal responsibility for putting Edgardo on Riptides. . He rips that setup!
