I live near the shores of Lake Michigan, along the Illinois and Wisconsin state line, and along our shores, they use a machine to clean and filter the sands, several times per year. As beautiful and scenic as Vero Beach's shores are (which I visited once, in 2003), I'm surprised they don't have or use the same sort of equipment.
@@robertfarrell2863 That would destroy the sea turtle nest along the shore, also we deal with pretty severe beach erosion so most of our beach construction is focused towards that and preserving the wildlife.
What is all that black stuff along the shore? Is it oil, or dead sea-weed?
