Maybe there's a reason why we should be laughing even though it isn't funny...
My heart ached when I understood the father's sacrifice. All that time he subjected himself to the antithesis of humor just to keep his daughter safe. That's pure heroism.
When you realise that her father had probably went through this years ago and barely survived, so now has to keep laughing in front of the tv to keep Sheldon at bay.
My most uncomfortable memory of recent is when my friend in college made me sit through a 12 minute try to to laugh compilation of the Big Bang theory which neither of us laughed at and I was too polite to stop it
His take on Peppa Pig was unsettling. Meatcanyon makes caricatures of the most unsettling aspects of existence and moves them from the background to the foreground.
This was the first time I was legitimately unsettled in any video. The first 3 minutes were incredibly genius! You don't know why the father is laughing so much, yet all you know is it keeps his daughter awake all night. You notice that he laughs at the least funny things, and then Sheldon stares at the screen when her father is asleep and no one laughs, but you don't realize why. When the moment you realize that to keep this creepy TV monster away from you, is to sound entertained with laughs, your heart sinks as you will have to keep laughing to stall the beast. That is what is so genius about this. So unsettling and an incredible sense of horror. You get these bits and clues at the beginning, and it is genius, and the payoff is terrifying. You have to be conscious every moment to laugh. You must laugh every moment to stall. It is helpless to do it forever. You can't stall forever. You need to sleep, your throat hurts. Imagine being the daughter, and the psychological torture she goes through. How the reaction to joy and happiness twists into a crutch to stall. How laughing is twisted into a necessity to stay alive. Genuinely unsettling!

I’m not sure if I did experience sleep paralysis recently. I had a dream through the night about a snake or something and when I woke up I couldn’t move, couldn’t open my eyes or speak or anything. After a second I thought I was dreaming maybe like the snake got me and I’d wrapped around me, but I just tried to move really suddenly and boom, I just woke up. It was really freaky since I’ve never had anything like it before
@@charliejohns4755 if I understand you correctly, you was conscious when you woke up without ability to move. And if it's true then it definitely was sleep paralysis

Fun fact: Sheldon is actually a human with a terrible past and that's how he should be portrayed. But because it was too violent for public television, it was altered and he became just a "misunderstood" boy like in "Young Sheldon". Is it me or does Sheldon's walk and tone seem more desperate at1:38? At that point Sheldon realised she figured out what the weakness was, and temporarily panicked. When she's going up the stairs, fake laughing, Sheldon stares at her which is relatively normal for a horror film monster, but I like to interpret it as a death glare as if Sheldon is legitimatly pissed that he's been caught out. Seriously dude, just seeing the notification pop up startles me.
His take on Peppa Pig was unsettling. Meatcanyon makes caricatures of the most unsettling aspects of existence and moves them from the background to the foreground.
Yet, he is one of the most wholesome guys on youtube
MeatCanyon's ability to turn even You Laugh You Lose into horror is admirable, thats a talent

For real…
While ultimately she still fails, the idea that she actually got to Sheldon and not only angered him, but actually panicked him just seems so badass to me...plus a middle finger to Sheldon
