This above tutorial explains the working of Tar command in Linux O.S. By the help of this command you can archive or backup any file or directories including any sub-directory.
What exactly is Archiving means..?
The answer is bundling up all files into one and then compressing them is called archiving in Linux.

I think the only meaning of archiving is combining multiple files and directories into one file and the meaning of compression is to reduce the directory-file size...please verify the same and i would like to know that the concept of ''bundling" is official ??
