This is why Cardboard Chronicles is the 🐐 Bob - you are the exemplar for how to approach the hobby. Great interview & congrats on having the best LeBron collection in the world.
I collect rare books and have focused on a single author for more than 20 years. Over the course of that time, I have built probably the best collection of this particular author to the extent that it is now of interest to colleges… This is just to say that if you do anything in the area of collecting, over a period of time with patience, focus and an eye toward the long-term, good things will happen. You create relationships, your expertise grows and opportunities present themselves. Hats off to this phenomenal collector! And what a great lesson for people who are just starting out in the hobby. Collect what you love - stay focused and good things will happen!
Amazing collection for sure! If you ever wanted to see some of these cards hit the market, just contact his wife and tell her exactly how much these "little pieces of cardboard" sell for haha
After the Godwin IG live, I’ve realized this hobby is only for the wealthy. The cards that keep value are out of the average person’s budget. Going to sell what I can so I’m not left with a bag of base and /499 cards
Lebron has “length” of career records. He has that down pat. But “peak” for “peak” he is not even in the same class as MJ. MJ was on a whole different level of greatness - the true GOAT!

Discussion @ approx. 16min mark...could have replaced reference to Lebron and changed to Brady and same would apply :)
