First time I've run across this direct comparison. I have a 2016 Indian Springfield with Stage 2 and TABs. Currently the medium baffles are in but when I bought the bike, it came with the Zombies as well. I haven't installed them yet. The mediums sounded so good to me; I wasn't sure I would try the Zombies.
Thanks for posting. Yea, I am rocking a few bikes. A 88 TC and a early 107 M8. The TC is to drone for long trips with ReinHart Slip Ons. Like you with the Zombies they Sound Great. But, if doing more than bar hoping gets old pretty fast. On trips I want to hear the person talking I am sharing the experience with more than feel cool on a loud bike.
Excellent video. I have the zombies on my 2023 Fat Boy with an stage 2 S&S 475 Cam and Power Vision tune. They sound great, but I recently went on a 400 mile ride at highway + speeds and my ears were ringing for the next two days. It's just too much. I'm switching to the medium baffles. The zombies are great if you're not going on long trips.
Did you know of anyone that tried medium on one side and a Zombie on the other? Guy I got the bike from said if the Zombies piss off your neighbors, you could run one of each. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I do like the warmer, less "flap flap" sound of the medium baffles. When down shifting, they have a nice low growl to them.
I haven't heard it done in person but i've heard it sounds really good. I may get around to doing a video over it since I have both. I've gotten to wear. I just leave this zombie baffles in because, after running them so long. The mediums are too quiet.
My tuner said he may use one of each when he’s tuning to get the best tq curve on catless headpipes on a 2-1-2. He knows I love the zombies but don’t want me losing lots of tq in that 3k area. Going from stage2 on stock head pipes to a 124, CR482 cam, catless head pipes
I’ve been running zombies for about 3 years straight with open headers and a cam plus some other work. Love the sound and still do. However they are really really loud!!! Especially in the interstate when you’re hauling as to get somewhere. It wears at you lond and at a detriment to your hearing loud. Like I’m a vet and know I have damaged ears but this loud has done some damage loud. I’ve gone to eat plugs and I like the sound of the pipes with plugs in, so much so I’m switching to 2.5 baffles. It’s just a more relaxed ride. I’m sure some of you are probably coming to the same conclusions. KTRDSSU
I will agree on a long ride. Your ears will be ringing. We've gotten to the point where we love the sound. But we're starting to wear earplugs on trips. Thanks for watching.

It's nice to be able to hear when you get off the bike and not have ears ringing. Lol thanks for watching.

I agree. Love them but a little much sometimes. Thanks for watching.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching. We have more videos if any interest you.

I was just thinking the same thing! That should be your next video! I'm pretty sure it's not Tab recommended, yet 😂
I'm gonna have to wait for the weather to cooperate but it's on the list. Thanks man keep watching and you'll probably see it on there.

@geraldgoodiii6993 well it makes sense. I'm not really chasing numbers myself. Good info though.
Medium baffles for the win. Zombies sound awesome, though.
They are both great but we decided to run the zombie and wear earplugs partly for the wind, though. Just couldn't part with the zombie baffles.
Zombie the way to daily ride
Yep I just leave the zombie baffles in.
Nice video! Love the Zombies, but I always wear ear plugs.
My wife does and I'm thinking of doing it also. Thanks.
Sounds great!
You could run a zombie on 1 side and the louvered on the other side. I did that for a while when I had a road king special. Best of both worlds.
I might do that when we take trips instead of changing both. Good idea I forgot about that.
CFR for the win!
In Oklahoma where I live I meet the CFR perfectly.
For me its a no brainer.....Zombie Baffles 24/7...
I do the zombie baffles about 99% of the time. They sound too good not to.
@@Harleypoor If i wasnt running a V@H 2 into 1 Propipe...I would be running a TAB with the Zombies...They sound Great👍😎

Have you tried the medium baffles with the packing removed? Thanks.
No I haven't removed the packing. I bet it would be a good in between sound.
How does the passenger like the zombie baffles?
Not as much as the rider. She likes them but they are pretty loud.
Are you using stock header?
V&h power duel head pipe.
@@Harleypoordid you notice a big sound difference from stock ?
