@Karmaplays824 they're somewhat easy to care for but they are stressed easily when babies and they will require a good amount of space when grown, but luckily they are slow growers and you'll have a few years to save and prepare foe a bigger tank wich the best is a thick plastic livestock trough/water container. You definitely want thick plastic not glass before they will eventually snap at and bite at the tank and glass could shatter so you want thick plastic, also plastic is better that the metal trough because metal could break the caimans teeth but plastic is softer and gives way. As a hatchlings and for the fist year you can put it in a plastic 40 or 50 gallon plastic storage bin
You're going to have a shit ton better results if you sit legs out turned to the side and quietly slowly flat palmed go under it. This is doing nothing but scaring both of you and this animal is already growing to be towards the painful side of biting. Good luck but I see nothing but a rough future between you.
You’re not training her right. Sucks to see that you just got her for the videos and not to actually Forman relationship and care for this beautiful creature.
Ok what definines "pet". A pet is an animal kept primarily for a persons company OR ENYERTAINMENT. This definitely fits the second category. Id say thats actually a HELL of a pet because whats more entertaining to watch than a mini gator?
@@Delojos I would say that these days a pet is basically a member of your family is a domesticated creature that literally shares your living space. It has its own place to eat. It has his own place to sleep. It hangs out with you most of the time that you're home. Some people even sleep with them. They have their own doctor's appointments, their own exercise time, their own playtime. But more importantly has a bond with you and it is at ease at your presence. Animals that you keep in an aquarium or terrarium walk the line between a pet and a thing that you have. Sure, a lot of these animals become domesticated enough for you to be able to handle them. But for the most part, if it's something that lives in its own cage or enclosure completely separate from you and and it's indifferent or worse yet distressed as to your presence... That's not a pet... For example large snakes... We all heard about that story of the lady that was sleeping with her giant python thinking it was a cuddly pet when in reality it was really just sizing her up for ingestion... Something like this mini alligator or crocodile or whatever it is small crocodilians like this tend to have an even more pronounced aggression. So something like this that's constantly skittering away from you or just distressed at your presence is not a pet... It's just something you have... Sorry for grammatical errors. This was dictated as speech to text...
@@BendApparatusi agree on the fact that you dont have a bond or interactions with a reptile as you would with a dog, but some people still enjoy keeping them, i would say its more like a hobby. Also one thing i have to say, snakes do not size up anything by laying next to something, they are ambush predators so if they decide to eat something they are going to bite asap, in the wild they dont have time to lay next to something because then the meal would have ran away. "Pet" snakes are no different, they also prey on impulse
@@erikblom3147 yeah that was more of a manner of speech... Though in the case I describe... That is literally what happened... But you are correct that in the wild, It's not something a large or small snake would do... But once again, this was a creature in an abnormal environment...
I don't think this is working out for either of you.
God damn I almost through the phone lol
Seems like a nice pet

It'll definitely hurt, but he's small enough that if you wore jeans and gardening gloves you'd probably be find but maybe a bit bruised if he but you.
Could easily remove a hand
@@ThomasDoubting5hardly… it’d prolly leave you with a bit of bite marks and some blood drawn but that’s excessive.

Terrible handling of this situation , which calls for stillness

It'll be worst even tho devin has one hell of a dearf caiman a croc would def be worst 😂
Caiman, alligators, gharial and crocodiles are all crocodilians.
