In this trade breakdown, I will touch on how I started using imbalances or fair value gaps. I've been learning and observing them for a while and slowly implementing them into my trading plan.
The basics are still the same. Imbalances just show us market momentum, order flow and commitment, which supports the idea of strong market structure.
I will break down EUR/USD and GBP/USD to also show you how I utilize the imbalance and fair value gap.

But arjo trades only when there is high impact news, do you do that too?
Hm, not necessarily. I am always aware of the news during the day, but for me I do not 100% require for there to be news. Although I agree that after the news is when the big moves come in. Oftentimes, technicals will align just before the news, so that's why I do not require them that much. Just watching out for the big news events and not to trade on those days - Interest rates, NFP, CPI, PMI.

I don't have an "old" strategy bro. I am just implementing a new concept. The foundation is still the same. So to answer your question - yes, it works. But now it works even better.
