a documentary about the rise to power of Irish rebel leader Michael Collins and his tragic and untimely death at a place called Beal Na Blath (Mouth of the Flowers) in Cork County during the Irish Civil War, after he had led Ireland to its first taste of freedom in 800 years. It is a beautifully structured piece of work with a haunting musical score and many fascinating archival photos of the time, including rare footage of Collins, who was rarely photographed during the time he led the War of Independence against England and was known as the "Dublin Pimpernal" (because the British could never catch him although he travelled freely around Dublin). This is a not-to-be-missed historical film which is very hard to come by but is well worth the effort to find it if you want to know the story of this remarkable and charismatic Irish leader and the epic times in which he led his country.

An autopsy would have exposed the person who killed him, i believe he was killed by emmet dalton, they said collins went out into open ground under fire whilst loading his rifle, nobody, not the stupidest person on earth woulld have done such a thing, unless of course there was a greater threat close to them, michael collins was'nt a stupid person and he certainly would'nt have run out into the open whilst trying to load a rifle.
