As a young teenager I took up drawing and wanted to be an artist. There was no encouragement from my family nor money for supplies, etc. and that dream fell by the wayside. My firstborn inherited my love for art and is talented. Now I'm retired from teaching, am widowed and finally revisiting my old dream. Your videos are so very helpful. I was wanting to learn techniques, I feel I'm not getting that in the class compared to your videos.

Hi, I used a 4B pencil, which is quite soft and can be very dark too. Some 4B pencils are more a silver grey, so it is good to experiment with different brands.
im 11 and i love to draw, i wouldnt call myself a expert or a good drawer. but i thought this would be so hard, eventually i got the hang of it now i think i drew my best yet!

Hi, I use a 4B pencil. It is good to have a few pencils, maybe 2B, 4B, 6B and then keep them and get used to what they can do. I think it is better to have just a few pencils and really know them, then later if you really need another pencil get it at that point.
