What an amazing teacher you are. I had no interest in making gnomes, so busy doing other things, but now I want to make gnomes. You make it look so fun. Bless you.
I got some of your patterns but I wanted your hats. But I'm so happy at what I have.iwantwhatsleft.im almost 80 years old and want 2give 2my family as a keep sank.u are good just like Patti but she is harder. I love her work as ilove yours
on your fabrics that fray, you can trim it with pinking shears as well. It will give it a cute little points all around and stop the fraying. My S-I-L i making gnomes for Christmas this year. and wants me to make the hats for her. she's making hers out of pine cones. I just want to figure out how i figure out the circumfernce. do i make it like i would any other hat. measure around it and divide by 2? and use a stretchy material to allow for the differences in the sizes that may occur from cone to cone.
Duane you are truly the gnome king 👑. All your gnomes are sooo beautiful. Love the way you explain in everything in detail, plus you give the measurements. I enjoy your channel and shared with friends. If I understood you have a book out ???? Please tell me the name of the book and if you are the author, because I would buy it in a heartbeat. Thank You so very much for sharing.
Greetings Georgene Thank You so much for the kind words. Actually I have 3 gnome currently published and available at Amazon.com The Most Beautiful House in the Kingdom What’s in your Bottle The Colorful Gnome Stories
Forgot to ask, do you have a step by step of this Santa ? Which videos of yours do I need to watch to make him. I will try my best but I know yours will always be the best 😊!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Georgene I do not have a step by step of a Santa gnome. I prefer to show tutorials on the coat, the body, the shoes, and ways people can create their own style.
Hobby lobby and Dollar Tree have Christmas ornaments that are winter boots that work great. There are also several UA-cam videos on making gnome shoes using the plastic Easter eggs, pill bottles, or toilet paper rolls. Hope this helps.
Greetings Maryanne. I do not have a tutorial on clay or nylon faces YET. I hope to work more with both media over the next couple months and then hopefully make videos.
Duane, your creations snd tutorials are so wonderful. Please don’t take offense, but as a seamstress myself, I do want you to use the correct terminology. When you turning under your hat, that is called a hem, not a seam. A seam is two pieces of fabric that are joined by sewing or gluing. Also, all of the materials you use for your hats are all fabric. The fabric that doesn’t stretch is a cotton blend. I’m truly not being a “Karen”, I just want you to know the correct terminology. A lot of folks could get confused. Meant with sincerity, Melba
Duane( AKA the Bob Ross of the gnome world 😁) you are a gem!! I Love everything you make and thank you for sharing your creative mind with us!
I only hope I can live up to Bob Ross. Thank you. 😀
You are best of all gnome makers

I am not sure about that way of figuring out a hat size. You may need to experiment a little.
