Kimani Powell Simona is overrated with her defensive style of play. She just hits the ball hoping for her opponent to make mistakes. Simona never used to play like this. She used to attack, now she's happy just running balls down and just keeping it in play. She will slide down the ranking pretty quickly it she doesn't change her mindset.

Careful planning of which tournaments you play in and incremental improvements aided by the right persons WITHOUT overconfidence will see a general upward move in rankings. I am pleased for WTA tennis. You snooze, you lose. That is what sport at this level is supposed to be. Again, modern-day media needs to also transition with the sport. I note the questions in post-match press conference and I realise that quality questions to fill articles and blogs are ' desperate '. if i were to draw comparisons, i would compare naomi to serena and kasatkina to patty schnyder, who was a really good shot maker. this will be a final with contrasting playing styles, but i think that the match is going to be on naomi's racquet and for kasatkina to win, she is going to have to find a way to throw naomi off her game. naomi is really starting to figure things out and to be able to make adjustments as she did in the match against sakkari when sakkari mixed things up in the second set by hitting a lot of high bouncing topspin shots.
