- urosbaric.com Enjoy this fantastic fingerstyle piece by American guitarist, composer and recording engineer Rick Ruskin, called Microphone Fever.
Recorded LIVE in my studio (urosbaric.com/s...) on June 22nd 2013, using 2 modded Oktava Mk-012 mics w/ MJE K47H capsules, a modded Rode NT1A and another SDC pair for distant miking (Samson C02).
Video was shot on Canon 600D.
Hope you like the outcome and stay tuned!
Hot damn! I saw Rick live at McCabes in the mid 70's. You made him proud. Greatness.
very nice bluse Rag like tune and it sound good on the classical guitar
I am a fan ! Kevin
Anche cambiando genere, confermi di essere sempre bravissimo
Bravo! What a great encore piece - guaranteed to bring the house down!
So good to have found your channel, Uros
Warm and sunny greetings from Spain,
Clive Davies
True - thanks, Richard!
WOW! I loved it!! Keep it up!! I came into this channel because I also play guitar and I found your video of Fernando Sor N22 OP35... Beautiful.
A huge fan from Spain ^^
Grazie mille!
Great playing! Really good, I subbed! Grtz from Holland!
Thanks, here I think I only used a touch of Rode's signal to add some attack as it was positioned the closest to the source (there's a picture of the mic positioning on my blog). But in general, yes, I prefer Oktavas on guitar as well (love the modded NT1A on vocals though)! BTW, are you refering to the MJ modded Rode? The original Rode mic was practically useless on anything for me.
Very nice work, love the sound of your modded mics too. Dont know about the Rode though. I used it for a while and it was really grainy in the mid and highs.
Where can I buy the score?
lorenzo bernardi Hey, I know it's in a book called 'Best blues solos' from the Mel Bay guitar university series :)
Alas, the useless one.
have you heard the Rode M3? its not bad, very flat and clear. ANd cheaper than 10 sets of strings.
