A man from a Plovdiv village opens a Macedonian club in his yard
The club will be named after Yane Sandanski,,a 69-year-old man from the Plovdiv village of Krumovo is preparing a private Macedonian club in the yard of his home. Borislav Bozhinov defines himself as a Macedonian and is convinced that there is a large community in Bulgaria, but he is afraid to declare himself publicly. The club will bear the name of Yane Sandanski.
Borislav Bozhinov's family is from Pirin Macedonia. His family first settled in Shumen, and then they moved to the village of Krumovo. According to him, there are many Macedonians even on his street, but everyone was afraid to announce him officially. At the last census, he himself indicated his nationality as Macedonian.
"We have to admit, we live under genocide. Do I have the right to study in a Macedonian school, I don't. My sister's name was Macedonian in her passport at her wedding. The party secretary of Krumovo tore up her passport because it said Macedonian on it." , said Borislav Bozhinov.
