Um I hate to nitpick but Gee Anzalone is NOT the original drummer for Dragonforce. He's actually the 4th. The 3rd drummer (Dave Mackintosh) is the one who cowrote and performed Through the Fire and Flames. That being said I'm not knocking Gee. He is an amazing drummer.

I've seen a lot of things in my 49 years. There are so many amazing musicians out there that it's sometimes difficult to spot exceptionality amongst the sea. They often catalogue the best musicians as 'naturals', or with phrases like 'she was born to play drums.' Perhaps there are some truths to that, but that's not what I see here. Pound for pound and given her age, this performance is beyond astonishing. What stands out the most is that she's playing in the zone...that mindset where everything comes together and you become 'the music.' You are so in tune that you perform without reservation and without mistakes. It's hard to describe, but to achieve that...takes practice, skill, execution and some level of mental maturity. I'm blown away...top to bottom.

It's hard to express just how incredible Junna is as a musician. Has their ever been a virtuoso drummer before? I has , may get back a career in live sound for power pop punk punk band for this promoter and hard core with this other guy and that expose me to some of the best players in the business and washout a doubt she smokes them all , well except for maybe Flo and Eric from Cryptopsy and Killitorous. with their blast beats and heal toe technique that had me searching for a drum machine during soundcheck. They were doing stuff on drums that I had never experienced before. That being said, I'm certain if I did sound for Junna, I'd just straight and admit she's the greatest ever. Some people comment about mics in the room that we don't see. In fact, you can't get hard rock sound without mic'ing the entire kit so we are watching her second performance without the mics. That crew can easily do that in 4 hours. She's that good.
ive watched a LOT of drum covers for this song and others but never seen one for this particular song so fun, energetic and sound more accurate. i just wish she did the full song not the 5 mindute video version honestly
She's literally captured the essence of what makes rock, whether performing or spectating, so enjoyable. You're free. It makes you feel something from the inner depths of your body that just spills out in the form of pure energy
I’ve gotta give her credit, she’s not just in rhythm, but her timing is on point too, and the energy she’s giving off is phenomenal, you can tell she’s not just having a good time, but loves music. I just love the energy in this
I think that no one in the world could be tight in rythm all the time. This is a crazy fast song that even the original musicians can't reply in live shows. The difference is that she's playing ON other instruments accompaniment. And "normal" is totally different. The drums play the rythm and all others come following it. She's really in the rythm. But 100% of precision in this case is impossible.

I just found out about that cover, randomly. I've seen a lot of drums cover, lots of covers in general. There is a lot of talented musicians on youtube and I mean scary talented. One thing is skills and clearly Junna got it covered. But other thing I like to see is energy, entertainment, watching musicians enjoy what they are doing. And by that metric that is probably one of the best cover I ever seen. Seriously. Can't stop smiling watching Junna's facial expresions and how much energy that girl have. Love to see that, love to see that energy, that joy. It gives it character, personality and it stands out. What a performance. Standing ovations.

So true. As a drummer myself, just watching that made my calves hurt... I want any non drummer to try to do eighth notes on a double kick at 80 bpm for 12 measures and tell me how their calves feel.

Junna, (beautiful name), I just came across this during a Fire and Flames search....Oh my God, I was not expecting this. In my day in the 60's and 70's did you ever find a girl playing drums. Watching you play made me want to cry. You are one with the drums, you own them. The energy you have playing boggles the mind. Guys drumming that hardback in my day usually had some extra help. You, it's just pure fun. The smile on your face really shows how much you like playing. I am honored to have heard of your special talent at such a young age. Love this girl. Couple of things that caught my eye are: she is a freaking Swiss clock timing is perfect, the size of the stick she is using are really thick and heavy with that energy she beat those drums anything smaller will blow into pieces. Energy level, endurance and charisma are unmatched. However if you see a video of another song that is more subtle and 2 notches down in intensity it shows that dynamic s not her forte, nonetheless she is extremely skilled and I thank God to be alive and witness such talent. FYI I’m a Bass Player(The BFF of the Drummers)
More than her energy throughout the song, it made me happy to see how much fun she was having the entire time. You can see how much she loves what she does.
I think she has the best personality of any drummer on this planet. So much fun to watch and I have not read a single negative review about her. I guess even the haters are impressed with her awesome talent. I wonder if drumming is just her hobby or if she wants to join a band and play professionally. Any band would be lucky to have her.
Drummers funny faces when playing usually tell their emotion at the moment. Then we got this girl, who apparently was high on cocaine + coffee + monster energy + red bull + adrenaline. Superb cover, it takes an insane amout of time and skill to do a proper cover of TTFAF, not only that, but she added good fills.

Watching you play made me want to cry. You are one with the drums, you own them. The energy you have playing boggles the mind. Guys drumming that hardback in my day usually had some extra help. You, it's just pure fun. The smile on your face really shows how much you like playing. I am honored to have heard of your special talent at such a young age. Few musicians are willing to let go of their dignity and let raw passion flow out from them onto their instrument. This girl is one of them.
Love this girl. Couple of things that caught my eye are: she is a freaking Swiss clock timing is perfect, the size of the stick she is using are really thick and heavy with that energy she beat those drums anything smaller will blow into pieces. Energy level, endurance and charisma are unmatched. However if you see a video of another song that is more subtle and 2 notches down in intensity it shows that dynamic s not her forte, nonetheless she is extremely skilled and I thank God to be alive and witness such talent. FYI I’m a Bass Player(The BFF of the Drummers)
More than her energy throughout the song, it made me happy to see how much fun she was having the entire time. You can see how much she loves what she does.
I think she has the best personality of any drummer on this planet. So much fun to watch and I have not read a single negative review about her. I guess even the haters are impressed with her awesome talent. I wonder if drumming is just her hobby or if she wants to join a band and play professionally. Any band would be lucky to have her.

Drummers funny faces when playing usually tell their emotion at the moment. Then we got this girl, who apparently was high on cocaine + coffee + monster energy + red bull + adrenaline. Superb cover, it takes an insane amout of time and skill to do a proper cover of TTFAF, not only that, but she added good fills.
