Offense needs some work in the communication but the oline seems to improved heavily and the defense and special teams seem really good. Hope my cats can have a better season than last year
Ball state did a good job controlling the clock and keeping Kentuckys offense off the field. I mean i watched the entire game and seemed like we barely got any offensive reps. But when we did i liked what i saw , could have been better in some ways but i like Leary he has good pocket awareness and will be a great addition. Our defensive front is a monster, just weak at cornerback. If our corners don't play better we will get carved up by a really good offense in the pass game. But man the d line is crazy stout.
Real good, kicks were solid, no wobble and true down the middle. The second was close but hes got the leg to bust it from 50+, seemed like he was more focused on accuracy
This was not as dominant as it needed to be. Hopefully we will become more fluid before the SEC season starts. At least Stoops has us doing good work against lesser teams. Grateful for that.
@@PolandSOulx bro i was literally at the game it was rigged like on one play the player on ball state fumbled the ball and the Kentucky player took it back to the house but the refs didn’t call it and when they reviewed and saw it was good they said that Kentucky would only get the ball and not the points since they didn’t call it at first like that’s literally bs
honestly was pretty upset with how slow we started because you can’t afford that with other teams but joyed that we only allowed 14 points since ball state drove down the field multiple times. thankfully colorado won, so the spotlight is all gonna be on them. so UK will go under the radar until AP stupidly ranks us for no reason
But they had only 48 plays offensively going into that final series, and the offense still hasn't played together enough to find much rhythm. Only 51 snaps total for the game. They needed those snaps.
@@wtk6069they didn't need the td I had no money on it just disrespectful to the game and the opponent. Kneel it out with 12 seconds and double digits lead

Ray Davis Is Ok But When It’s Time To Go Up Against Elite Competition He Has To Turn It Up A Notch That Goes For All The Wildcat Players. NFL scouts don’t care about these games
He ran it up the middle, defense should have simply tackled him. Kneeling is the most classless play in football, just ask a player and they will tell you that. If they had thrown it, that’s a different story, but UK only had the ball on offense for about 20 mins, to Ball States 40 mins, they needed all the snaps they could get at that point.
They looked ok but they aren't going to win 1 SEC game with an offense like that. Leary did not impress me at all & all I watched was highlights. 3 step drop & throw it right into 2 defenders? Either he's an idiot or the coach that taught him to do that is an idiot. He seems to do better when he goes through his progressions.
@@jimsmith956 I can certainly see the potential. 2 more games & I think he will be rolling. They just need to cut him loose & do his thing without being so scripted. The pick he threw he took 3 steps & fired right into 2 defenders. I think he will be fine too.
It wasn't running up the score lol, it was a 30 yard run. Stop it if you don't like it! It wasnt like they were throwing repeated passes into the endzone 🤷♂️.
Yeah, you can say that about a lot of teams but your right, let's wait and see how well we do against Georgia, Tennessee, and Bama before we crown them this year. I expect we'll lose all 3 of those but if we can win the rest I would consider it a successful season for us
@@metalcorezilla lol, I bet KY has a lot better year then FL and they get better recruits. That's one thing, UK is not an SEC powerhouse in football but in recent years we've held our own pretty good
@@metalcorezilla No, I'm just tired of UK fans thinking their football team is good. D-line was good. Secondary was awful couldn’t stop a pass play to save our lives in the second half
I think we will shock alot of sec teams
As a Tennessee fan I believe you guys will be better this year most definitely
My goodness no one was even close to barion brown on that return

5:46 that ball is out clear as day. Should have been 14-51
I agree. Unfortunately, the refs can't do their jobs right and they blew the whistle and called the play dead
Lol. Doesn’t work that way. The whole game would have been different. Maybe Kentucky loses.
@santaclause3487 UK gave up some touchdowns, it should have been in the 60s. You should work for ESPN
It’s good having a kicker who can make a field goal

Yes, first game of season against a powderpuff team, hopefully they will help better as we get into SEC play
Thank God for Ray Davis.
I was at this game and th stadium was electric! Refs thought they could rig this game but kentucky is too good for that

We were rigged of that second scoop n score so bad
The first fumble was closer to being down then the second one. I and many others were livid by the call
That last touchdown will definitely be a part of Scott Van Pelts, Bad Beats on espn. Spread was 26.5 on draft kings.

It was a 30 yard run, I'd say UK thought it was about a 5% chance they'd score. If they passed for the TD I'd feel differently.

Good Teams win great teams cover
Why did Kentucky score with six seconds left?
Practice
To cover the spread
Because, football
Because Kentucky is a trash/classless program that can’t ever compete in the sec so it makes them feel better beating up on MAC schools every year
Margin of victory plays into the rating system
That last touchdown was classless. Game well in hand no need to try to embarrass a small school in the last 12 seconds

Classless would be throwing a bomb downfield. Running it up the gut is not classless in the slightest.
