Just stating the obvious. Well obvious to us who knows Football.
Clearly you didn’t know the rosters then or football for that matter. UK had their entire roster with the exception of 2 transfers that weren’t starters and CU was missing staters that included 3 DBs, 1 LB, 2 DL, 1 WR and 3 OL. Clemson fought, came back, and won that game with a very young team. You just need to be quiet and sit down.

Hey Alabama fan, You guys really let the SEC down with that loss to Michigan today. I now wish I had rooted for Georgia in that Al vs Ga game because Ga was clearly the superior team in the SEC this year.

@@jacobm.carter8060 Exactly. Had Georgia won that game, I do believe The Bulldogs would be racking up another championship victory for the SEC this year. Alabama's victory over Georgia and their failure to beat Michigan means a division other than the SEC will take it.
I'm glad they are going to a 12-game playoff system next year. If that was the case this year, I would assume GA would still have a chance. (I need to brush up on all the rules regarding this new playoff system. I'm surprised they didn't follow the basketball system and have a Sweet 16, but some people think football has to be different.

Clemson still has better talent and better HC than Kentucky. I had a bad feeling they'd win🙄 the team was better than their record in season too
@@exomake_mehorololo I think KY clearly had the better defense in the game, but maybe that was because of the opt outs. Nevertheless, Clemson wasn't without their best defensive player--Devon Leary. Clemson won that game because they had a better QB, Mafah, and a smarter coach. The KY offense (especially loser Leary) gave them 3 turnovers in the 3rd quarter and that should have made the game a blow out, but it wasn't because of KY's superior tight ends and receivers (despite a horrible QB). KY has a good defensive coordinator, but the KY coaching staff once again went to the dreaded prevent defense when the game was on the line. They should know from experience that it never works especially after Clemson was able to capitalize on that 3rd down and 25 to go with 45 sec left in the game. (No prevent, KY would have won.) Dabo, on the other hand, was smart enough to know that you can't win a game by playing not to lose. Stoops still hasn't learned that lesson.

Man coming from a Clemson fan I seriously thought we were done for in this one. WAY too many busted coverages and the offense way too inconsistent in the first 3 quarters of play. I'll give credit where credit is due and say GGs Kentucky.
Yes but i dont think Riley is all that i see to many bullcrap play calls that a 5 year old can figure out and like why was cade throwing to a dude like 4 yds up than open reciever basicaly standing on line to go outta bounds and save clock .

@@MadaraUchiha-iq8pkTo be fair, he got sacked A LOT. His offensive line wasn’t helping him at all. And when he had time, he made good throws. He went 30-41 which is very consistent. Just couldn’t get the touchdowns. He does force some throws but I personally wouldn’t put it all on him.

What a fourth quarter comeback by Clemson, the defense stepped big time and the the offense came to back to life when it needed the most.

This is probably one pf the best bowl games this season...if not the best bowl game this season. I thought Clemson was DOA for a while but from the ashes we rose and here we are. What a heck of a game done real NFL potential from some players on both sides
Mafah's winning TD had a tow from #9 Briningstool (who had the catch that put them on the three), two big guys teaming up to make things happen. Excellent awareness on Jake's part, superb win by the Tigers.
What an awesome game this turned out to be especially that 4th quarter scoring frenzy after a slow first 3 quarters. This might have been the best bowl game of the season so far!

Kentucky did so many good things in this Gator Bowl. It got a rushing, receiving and kick return touchdown from the spectacular Barion Brown. It sacked the Clemson quarterback eight times. It held the Tigers to 4.6 yards per play for the game and all of 10 points through the first three quarters. Time and again, it fought back from adversity in a wild fourth quarter. But it also made so many mistakes in this Gator Bowl. Too many mistakes. It turned the ball over on three straight possessions in its own territory in the final frame. And, at the end, up 35-30, it could not find a way to stop the Clemson offense from going 68 yards in 11 plays to score the winning touchdown - Phil Mafah’s 3-yard run for the Tigers’ fourth score of the day - with all of 17 seconds remaining. A third-and-18 from the 50-yard line was the drive’s killer play. Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik had just been called for intentional grounding. There were under 50 seconds left to play. But the Tigers’ signal-caller hit Antonio Williams for a 16-yard completion to set up a fourth-and-2 at the 34. From there, Mafah rushed 5 yards for the first down. Said UK defensive coordinator Brad White afterward, “You can’t let that happen. The Cats did let that happen. And by letting that happen, it was emblematic of a season that ended 7-6. Too many things that the Cats couldn’t let happen, did happen. Turnovers. Penalties. Missed blocks. Missed assignments. Missed opportunities. Mistakes. The mistakes that separate a win from a loss, that separate a good season from a disappointing one. Faithful followers of Kentucky football already knew that Barion Brown was a star, but the sophomore wide receiver took it to another level on Friday. The Nashville native scored a touchdown just about every way you can score a touchdown, with the possible exception of throwing a pass for a TD. In the first quarter, Brown scored on a 22-yard run to give Kentucky a 7-3 lead. Then to open the second half, Brown returned the Clemson kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown - his third kickoff return touchdown of the season and second in consecutive games - to give the Cats a 14-10 lead. Last but not least, he caught 60-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Devin Leary to give UK a 28-27 lead with 6:12 remaining. Brown ended up with 226 all-purpose yards on the afternoon - 100 for the kickoff return; 26 yards rushing on two attempts and 100 yards receiving on three catch. In the end, Brown was left holding the Kentucky’s most valuable player trophy in a losing cause. Still, it was a stellar performance from a player that, in this day of the transfer portal, Kentucky must hold onto for next season. 🏈🏈🏈

The offense goes through Shipley and Mafah and the running game. Don't try to win it with Klubnick with pass run, but run pass. The most notable win this season was when the offense went through Phil Mafah. Today he averaged 6.5 yards per carry.
Did you not watch that last drive. Klubnik drove them down the field with passing.
Klubnik has had so little to work with compared to Watson or Lawrence with receivers or offensive line! Not one will be in the NFL & Cade should look at the portal to escape this high school level offense.
If the KY offensive line wasn't trash, they could have won this game. Their pass rush and that special teams TD kept them in the game, but it wasn't enough

For Stoops, this is worse than being blown out. To be up double figures and blow the game with repeated forth-quarter turnovers means Kentucky, and specifically Leary, self-destructed. That's going to make for a very long offseason.

UK dline was sacking Klubnik all day, and the last seconds of the game they have clemson on a 3rd and long and decided to rush 3 prevent defense? Man that was a huge mistake. Ntm the 4 turnovers in the 4 th quarter to give Clemson chance after chance to come back. Was a heck of a game though, but i think UK might be alot better next season than people may think.
Incredible game from both teams. Defense dominated for most of the game. But both offense showed up at the end.

Our Freshmen DBs were EXPOSED to say it mildly. Shelton Lewis and Avion Terrell have A LOT TO LEARN. They were cooked WELL DONE, the whole game. It reminded me of the 2022 season.

I called the last UK play, I said “throw it to #2”. Obviously some guys got torched today but remember the wake game when Wiggins had a tough game but made the last play of the game and went on to become a 1st rounder (🤞 )
