That was a great lesson on such an important cool guitar player. Johnny was probably the best original Punk guitar player.....and that is saying a lot.

Hey, hang in there. It can be hard to shake that stuff. But yes it can be done, and yes, music is one of the great things out there that can really help. There are a lot of great things in the world and a lot of really excellent people who will help to fill up that hole.

Stay strong brother. I used to be a huge wreck and with the help of narcotics anonymous and a busy bike courier job and playing guitar and skateboarding I've let every mood and mind altering substance leave my life for awhile now

      (3 years too late?)
Take up some form of hard martial arts, kickboxing, kung fu, BJJ or something.
Straightened me up in a hurry back in the 80s starting around age 35, still doing it in my 60s.
Just make sure to stretch a lot to avoid injuries.
Of course Johnny Thunders himself was tragically known as quite a narcotics enthusiast, which led to his early demise.

OMG!!! WOW! Adrian, you are just a treasure trove of hipness. I actually saw him in NYC many many years ago, he did this song and I bought the Live at Max's Kansas City album. I still have it. It's beat to hell but if you'd like to have it, I'd be happy to make a present of it to you, as a big thank you for all your work here.

You are a fantastic guitar player and teacher as well but this is a horrible version of a classic surf tune. Its like making a heavy metal version of Fleetwood Mac songs. Dick Dale and Stevie Ray Vaughn made a terrific version of pipeline. I'd love to see that one instead. Still loving your videos my friend.
