The camera doesn't show just how bad some of those tracks are or how steep hills can be. I have come to grief on rutted tracks several times, so not a great fan. Maybe a smaller, lighter bike might be the answer! Love your work Phil
Ah, thanks Dough 👍 There's definitely less stress and effort navigating rough terrain with a lighter bike. Not ideal on the highway, but perfect once in the fun stuff. Cheers mate 🍻
Loved that one Phil.👍 All the old place's i used to ride a push bike when I was a kid. I can remember back in the 70's having to drink the muddy water from the dam when the new water system broke down! As usual mate, bloody great video🏍️🇦🇺🍻
Great trip! I checked out the Bottlebutt a few months back, bloody impressive tree, but now im spewin i didnt know about that dam, that place looked awesome! Definitely gunna head back there, cheers for the vid👍👍
Greggs road is super sketchy as. Looking back at that section where you called no thanks where the bridge crossing was no longer looked like a harder run getting out than in. Good call being a solo rider. Amazing findings looking up from ground level. 🙌
I have old photo's back in the day when I use to drive my HD Holden car up that road to the dam with no problems at all and that was right up to about 100mtr from the Dam Wall.
I was done with Horse and Cart back in the day Phil. They switch over to Blue Creek Dam when the Hastings River was in flood and to dirty to use for the town water supply.
Wow, fascinating ride Phil - a fair bit on the technical side and lots of it really smashed up by the fourbies who've obviously gone charging up there in the wet. I did see a video once by some guy who launched a drone from the Radio tower up there, he also did a flight over Ellenborough falls. Yeah, how in the hell did they get the materials in there, let alone build that dam?? I always wonder about that, work was harder and people tougher those days I reckon! There's not even a real road in there from any direction! Wifey and I went to Old Bottlebutt - lovely forest in there and quite an unusual tree.
Thanks heaps David! Appreciate the kind words mate 🙏 Pretty wild ride into the dam! And old bottle butt is a monster- glade it wasn't logged back in the day 👍 Cheers mate 🍻

Wow! The road has crumbled dramatically since then! Probably be unusable in a year or so. Cheers mate 🍻
