Born Muslims should all see this video to remember how blessed they are to be born in Islam. Some people go though hell just to become Muslim, and this brother said he’d do it again to be a Muslim. Subhana Allah!
Baraka Allah to these brothers for seeing the truth and accepting it and sharing their experience.
I think even born Muslims need to have a point in their life when they realise they truly submit, rather than chase after Dunya. A person who doesn’t have true belief but instead has done EVERY act to appease those around him (like praying because he was told so) isn’t a true Muslim. I say this from experience: growing up muslim, even as an Arab, if you don’t have guidance, then even prayer can be made into a routine where you’re just “going through the motions”.

@@WeEducateAndTutor Absolutely, and al hamdu lillah, Islam flourishes in prison despite the circumstances. Getting good translations of Qur'ans and sound books in there is very important because so many are open to the da'wah there.
They're mending, some if not most already mended.

Yes, jazaakallahu khairan, one of my favorite surahs (although I say this about every surah, lol) that I would read repeatedly while I was there. BTW, a great recitation of the surah by Muhammad Barraak, although I must admit that I know little about the qaari.
Exactly, I also thought the same as you. Prophet Joseph (Yousuf) AS spent 12 years in the prison and received Prophet hood there
If what you’re after is a Muslim environment, Hamtramck, MI exists. The call to prayer vibrates through the city from all the mosques at every prayer time (a couple of masjids delay asr but it’s still good). Almost every business is Muslim owned, shops, restaurants, etc.
In November 2021, Hamtramck elected a completely Muslim-American city council and a Muslim mayor, becoming the first municipality in the United States to be governed entirely by Muslim-Americans.

I’m 39 minutes into the video. I just wanted to leave a comment to our beloved brother Islam: akhi alhamdulillah for all that happened. Even though it was difficult and tough, you received the greatest blessing. Allah allowed you to enter His religion.
You spent 15 years of your life in prison but alhamdulillah this life is only a test and if Allah gives us jannah then without a doubt it will be worth it.
15 years compared to eternal life and all the good things that come with it.
May Allah forgive us all and grant us jannah.
The brother looks humble and feels proud of being a Muslim this just reminds me of Allah talking about if born muslims don’t take this religion serious he will replace us with better people who will love this deen. subahanallah may Allah keep this firm in this deen Alabama batik.

He was far from being nervous. I was literally glued to the screen until the end. Thank you for sharing your story it kinda reminds me of a close neighbor who was actually a Muslim and he got involved with the wrong friends. He is in jail waiting for a sentence and he is your age when you were arrested. May Allah facilitate his affairs and his families.

Assalamou alaikoum brother, May Allah cure your son and help your family, I am from Morocco 🇲🇦 Welcome to our country, for the job you can work as an English teacher usually the salary is good or if you have any other qualifications or job experience Morocco is open to foreigners as for the disease of your son hafidaho allah I think it’s better if you can treat him there because health care here is expensive and not the best haha. Overall, I really enjoyed listening to your experience it made me feel more grateful for being born muslim and I hope all the best for you and your family May Allah guide you all.

Being a born muslim , i can say how much muslim society lack how great islam is, how valuable being muslim is and how great being in a muslim society is , the reverts most of the time make good muslims because they strived for it while born muslims dont care because they never worked in the first place.

For the brothers who wish to move overseas and do not have college degrees, invest in obtaining a TEFL certificate.
- Teaching English as a Foreign Language-
You do not need a BA to obtain one. Furthermore, the fees for such courses are affordable.
This is something the community can come together and help brothers and sisters obtain said certificates in order to get overseas..
Just a small piece of advice for the brother, Islam.
Alhamdulilah those 15 years weren't wasted for nothing you've discovered Islam which is great alhamdulilah and who knows maybe without this whole sad story you'd never be Muslim so as we say in Arabic "رب ضارة نافعة".
May Allah protect both of you and your families.

أجمل شيء في البلدان العربية هي العائلة ولكن للأسف حتى في سوريا أصبحت الجمعات صعبة بسبب غربة الأفراد و العائلات وأيضاً الوضع المادي و المواصلات الشبه منعدمة أو منعدمة إلا في حالة ركوب سيارات الأجرة التي لايستطيع تحمّل كلفتها الشخص العادي قبل الحرب كنت أفكر كيف ستتسع العائلة عندما تصبح أكبر لأننا نجتمع أكثر من خمسين شخص وطفل في مزرعة أخي مع أن العدد أكثر من 70 أما الآن لا يصل عدد المجتمعين إلى 20 بسبب الغربة و الأزمات
